Super Sunday Dinner

The Flores family made their way to town his weekend. We had a lot of fun and were really glad to see everyone before the busy baseball season gets started! Grandma, Aunt Rachel, Aunt Janis and I went shopping and got our nails done on Saturday and closed it out by having a nice fish fry at the house. The fam headed back on Sunday and Gene and I had to make the rounds to return borrowed items used for the fish fry. Since we were out we decided to take Trenton to a dinner only a kid could love...CHUCK E CHEESE! Yes we did! And let me tell you we now know why we don't go very often. It was a lot of fun watching Trenton play "Wack a Shark", Basketball and a really cool driving game! He stopped only for a short time to enjoy pizza and salad! Then off we went again. The best part of the whole dinner was Daddy suggested it! With Gene being a coach it leaves little time for family fun. We took turns chasing Trenton around the busy kids zone! It was a nice end to a nice weekend! Stay tuned for the few pics I took! Sorry! I was a picture slacker this weekend!
Trenton is quickly approaching the Terrible Two's! I am currently researchin how to not lose your mind because your child cries uncontrollably about every little thing. I am open to suggestions.....and no I don't want to hear that the Three's are way worse! Pray for me!

A Saturday At the Museum.....

On Saturday a few of us decided to load the kiddoes up and take them to the Children's Museum. The Tot Spot is temporarily closed as they are making a bigger and better one! We can't wait see that!! Mrs. Shannon and Cooper rode with us and we had so much fun! Mrs. Shannon was busy giving snacks and taking snacks....handing off cups and taking back cups! It was funny to think what it would be like to have twin 2 year olds!! Ha! Well we had a blast. Here are some fun pics from the day!

Trenton acting silly outside the Museum!

Silly painted face...

Mommies and kids making their family shield!

Cooper and Trenton working on the train

Trenton doing his favorite thing besides throwing a baseball...coloring

Trenton put a penny in the machine and as he turned the cranks it moved around! He was cracking showing me where it landed.

Trenton chasing Ryan down the ramp

Trenton looking through the top of the ramp

And just because I think my son is the most precious thing in the world, here he is before we went to church on Sunday. He is starting to look so grown up! Stay tuned for more trips down memory lane and a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Flores.

Then (Jan 08)....Now (Jan 09)

I can't believe that my little baby is on his way to being a 2 year old toddler! Well a lot has changed for this little tot over the last year! I have decided that since I did not begin this blog until Trenton's 1st birthday, that I would do a count down to his 2nd! Once or twice a month I will post snap shots of Trenton from 08 to 09! What an amazing journey this has been! We have met so many new friends and learned so much! Trenton is such a smart litte guy. His words are coming out more clear every day. He keeps Gene and I laughing! Monday at dinner he dropped his cup and said "huh-oh" and then "that's ok"! He says "Bless You" when you sneeze and "Stop it" when you are bothering him. His ability to use the phrases just at the right time amazes us!

Look at my chubby little blue eyed guy! Still not walking yet in these pics!

Look at all those fun toys! They look so big compared to Trenton!

OMG! Only a few teeth!! Look at that cute squinty face!

My big boy!

I hope everyone enjoys getting to see Trenton is his baby years! I know, I know he is still a baby, but on his way to being a big boy. I love when he comes just to cuddle with me! I love when he stops playing to give me a kiss! I love picking him up from school and he holds my hand! I love that he wants to be just like his Daddy! I love that no matter how upset he gets he will still give a hug and kiss! I love everything about my son and I love being a Mom.

So You Think You Can Dance.....

OMG! For all you non-texters out there that means Oh My Gosh! Trenton loves music and dancing. I have to emphasize the word LOVE. Any time music is on he is a dancing fool. Finally yesterday after his nap I caught him breaking it down in the den! Moments like this make it all worth it to be a parent! I decided that this could be Trenton's audition tape for my favorite summer show So You Think You Can Dance! With moves like this he is sure to WIN!

If you don't totally crack up during this video then you must not have children. They love to dance and Trenton has now figured out how to clap and dance! He has such rhythm....he gets that from both of his parents! Gene and I love to dance! We actually love to country dance...something you may not have known about us! Cute story: Gene asked me to dance one night 6 years ago and I said yes and we have been together ever since! Love at first sight I guess you could say! (I guess you could say I am still a little mushy about my hubby since we just had out anniversary)

My favorite things to do in 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

We spent New Year's at our house with some friends. Grandma and Grandpa Flores came in town to spoil their grandson! Our New Year celebrating has definetly changed since Trenton has joined our family! We ate and did fireworks and unlike many of our friends we made it to midnight! first time in 2 years! Gene and I have had the last couple of weeks off together and it has been such a joy to spend this time with our son! Trenton is growing up so fast and getting smarter by the minute. He loves to help Mommy and Daddy around the house. Here are a few things that he helped with over the break!

Daddy & Trenton washing the cars!

I love this picture! My boys washing Daddy's new truck

Trenton helping Mommy unload the dishwasher! I wonder how long he will think this is fun?!?

Coloring with his new crayons and books he got from Santa!

And last but certainly not least, BLOGGING like Mommy!

We can hardly beleive that in just a few (4) short months Trenton will be 2! He is on his way to the Terrible Two's, but he is still as sweet as can be. Trenton also started at his new school which has been very difficult transition. He has developed what I call "The Mommy Syndrome". He is so scared that I am going to leave him that he has officially attached himself to my leg! It was sweet at first, but now difficult. He does everything I do and must be every where I am otherwise he throws a massive temper tantrum. I hear this is normal, but very trying for a first time Mommy! His independence still comes out it just takes a little longer!
I hope that everyone is blessed with an awesome 2009!
