Confessions of a Shopaholic!

No I haven’t seen the movie nor am I talking about it. I am pretty pumped about the awesome deals I have stumbled upon lately. I for what ever reason seem to find ridiculously good deals on things! Probably because I am a cheap person and I feel that paying full price for something is silly, BUT mostly it’s luck! There have been a few items I have wanted to get Trenton, but cannot bring myself to spend the obscene amount of money they cost. So you ask yourself “What can $60 buy you in the Flores House?” Well let me show you:

Little Tikes Kitchen

(fully loaded with sizzling & boiling sounds)

(Retail $100) MY PRICE $38

Battery Operated Bubble Machine (batteries included)

(Retail $14.99) MY PRICE $8.88

And last but certainly not least…

TRICYCLE

(Retail $45.99) MY PRICE $9.98

I am super pumped about the tricycle. I thought it was a dream when it said $9.98 on the sign so I thought well if it’s not then no harm done by doing a price check! Trenton loves it. Sadly his legs are about 1 inch too short so Daddy or maybe PawPaw will add some extensions to the pedals!

Here is Trenton playing with his new toys:

Well I hope everyone is as excited as I am! Trenton and I were both sick yesterday and we spent endless hours in doctor’s offices. Trenton was really good and I intended on only 1 toy, but what can you do?!? I LOVE TO SHOP! We are both hyped up on medications and back at work and school, BUT I wish I could be a SAHM so I can cuddle with my little guy any time I want!

On another note my parents came to visit on Sunday! It was so nice to see them. I know they only live an hour away, but it’s hard to get out there to see them with our crazy schedule. We made dinner and enjoyed their company!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AND HAPPY SHOPPING! BTW: I find most of my awesome deals at TARGET!

I Heart Valentine’s Day

Trenton worked very hard on the Valentine’s for his friends at school! Ok so maybe Mommy did, but aren’t they super cute?!?  Trenton was a Valentine party animal this year. He had his party at school then I picked him up early and we headed to Brady’s for even more fun! I got this idea from FamilyFun.com

Brady had a Heartastic Valentine’s Party for all of his friends. Ms. Kim made heart cupcakes, heart pizza’s, heart krispies, heart candy and foam hearts to play and color on! It was so great to see all of the kids playing together. We got to break in Brady’s sandbox and ALL of his toys! Thank you so much for inviting us over! I can’t think of a better way to have spent Valentine’s Eve!

And then there were 2! Trenton and Brady disappeared upstairs while everyone The Mommies exchanged Valentine’s. Kim and I made our way up there and they cracked us up for hours! Literally! I think Trenton and I stayed WAY past Brady’s bedtime! That’s ok, Kim and I had a blast as well! Our hubbies both had games so it was nice to keep each other company! We always chat about how the boys never seem to “play together”. I mean they usually play in the same room, but certainly not with the same toys! Well Trenton and Brady were like 2 peas in a pod! They ran, played, danced, crawled around…did I mention run!!! It is nice to see them getting along so well!

Trenton you crawl out first while I keep a look out for Mommy!

I think my friend is hiding in there!DSC03413

For all those who know me and know how crazy I am about germs and dirt, you can only imagine what was caked all over my child. From pizza to sand to icing to well whatever else you can think of! Well Kim and I were sitting in the play room when the boys brought us PJ’s soooooo what did we do well….we did what ALL women do:

We bathed them…TOGETHER!

What a great Valentine’s weekend it has been. We spent tonight with friends and it was great!

This time last year......

Let the countdown to Trenton's 2nd Birthday continue! Gene and I were looking through our rather large selection of pictures and as we were doing this I started to cry! I don't mean shed a tear and move on kind of cry. It was more like a Lifetime movie kind of cry! We could not believe how little Trenton was just 1 year ago! I am still thinking these are the wrong photo's and surely my more than honest friends are going to call me out BLOGSTYLE! Well I am pretty sure last year Trenton was making a huge mess with his food, crawling around on all fours and saying a few words like Dada and Slugga! It is so amazing to watch him grow and learn! He is a super smart guy and has the best personality! I was watching a video of him and I couldn't believe how I actually remember that exact moment! I mean it's like it was happening all over again! So if I am getting this emotional and he is only turning 2, I wonder how kindergarden will go or getting his drivers license or his first date or when he leaves for college OR when he gets married!!! Ha! Ok so I may be taking it a little far, but I am still so amazed with how awesome it is to be a Mom! There are so many things I have learned and so many things I want to teach Trenton! Ok Ok enough of the blah, blah, mushy stuff! We still have 2 months to go. Here are some pics from This Time Last Year!

Eating....I guess that's what you call it

Awww...that chubby little smile!

Still not walking, but wearing Mommy's favorite onsie!

BLUE EYES! BLONDE HAIR! WHO'S KID IS THIS?!?

One final thought. Since I have joined the blogging world I have been able to become a part of several families that I truly do not know. There are so many couples out there that have struggled to have children or are currently struggling to keep their new babies alive. I pray for their families every night. I pray that He will heal those children and bless those families the way me and all of my friends have been blessed. I have learned that life is not about the amount of stuff you have, but more importantly the amount of love you have in your life. Gene and I are thankful everyday that our 5 week premie came home when we did and had no complications. We know that Trenton is a blessed child and I know He will take care of all of the other families I have grown to love!

Busy weekends!

What a busy couple of weekends we have had! Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Rachel, Uncle Luis, Aunt Janise and Raelynn came to visit last weekend. It was so much fun having them visit. Raelynn is growing fast. Trenton would make a good big brother....BUT Mom and Dad aren't ready for that!

We also enjoyed Nana's birthday and Coopers birthday. I was able to get a few pictures from Coopers, but Nana's celebration not so much. I have been sick so we were lucky to be there! We had a blast at Nana's seeing the Riley side of the family! Aunt Wonderful Wanda was in town and it is always a blessing to see her. Gene missed out because baseball has started in full force. Saturday we took Daddy snacks at practice and the headed to Coopers 2nd birthday party! I cannot believe our boys are turning 2! My how time flies. We are so lucky to have met The Simonds this year. They are such an awesome family and it's nice having someone for Trenton to play with!

I thought it was cute how he was sitting on the fireplace!

Chomping on a pickle! Yummm...he is so my child!

Mom can I have the BALLOON?!?

I am so happy that we have so many wonderful people to share our lives with. Trenton is such a lucky guy to have so many friends! I never imagined that being a Mommy would be such an awesome experience. Hopefully we will have some fun pictures to post after our trip to Corpus this weekend! Have a great week!
