F is for FRIENDS!

Well Trenton and I had a busy weekend. We decided to take a road trip together to go visit our friends that live in Austin. We had our bags packed and loaded, DVD player on and off we went. We were able to get out of town and to Pflugerville in no time! This was our first out of town trip together and I have to say it was quite a success. Trenton told me about ALL of the cows he would see and the “flowders” as we passed. I was so proud of my little man. As many of you know he is not a fan of the car seat. AND as I found it is amazing what you can do with one arm!! Our first stop Friday night was to the Patterson’s. Our friends the Midyett’s and Cooley’s were there too. It was so nice to finally get to meet the Midyett Twins!! They are sooooo adorable. Makes me want to have another baby! We enjoyed fajitas and great company while the kiddoes played and then went to bed!! Friday morning Trenton and I headed to Austin to see the Cooley’s. They were watching Trenton for me so I could go out with my BFF Jaime for her bachelorette party. They are pregnant and eager to watch him! They had a blast. Now I am sure the question everyone has is Where are the pictures? Well I don’t have any. I was having too much fun catching up with friends that I never even thought about the camera! Sorry!!!

On the way home Trenton did pretty good, again! We decided to stop and take some pictures with the bluebonnets. I am going to be trying this again some time soon because the combination of cars flying by and a bunch of weird flowers being around Trenton he kind of freaked out! Here are some pics:

Seriously Mom, get me out of here… DSC03846

NOW! NOW! NOW! DSC03841

Ok so remember how I said Trenton was Ok on the way back, well he went through a couple of emotional roller coasters. As I was driving I took a few snap shots! I need proof when this child is older and swears he loved to travel!

Hi George! I am so happy to be riding in the car with you and Mommy watching Rocket!!

Mommy I want out, please please, I want out. I can’t take it anymore!

When we got home Daddy was so excited that he decided to BBQ for us! So nice because I was so tired and just wanted to relax! Trenton decided to play in the backyard while we hung out! I know it sounds like I am shocked, but Trenton has had this playground since Christmas and rarely plays on it himself! I was super excited to finally see it getting some use!

How cute is this! Trenton wearing Daddy’s hat! DSC03862DSC03866

We are really looking forward to this weekend!! Trenton’s 2nd birthday party! ABC is the theme!! Yeah!! I can’t believe my baby is turning 2 AND he has moved into the Big Boy class at school!!!

Enjoy your week!

How I spent my Spring Break….

We did a lot for Spring Break considering I worked all week. On Wednesday our friends the Brewers and Pillows had a crawfish boil! We had a lot of fun seeing everyone and watching the kids play. We ended the night with a friendly game of poker (which we split!).

Trenton is super excited to go play with his friends!

Ag-Venture

On Thursday I took a personal day to spend time with my handsome little guy. We met The Brewers, Simonds and Lauderdales at the Houston Livestock Show for a little Agventure! Trenton spent a lot of time in the cow exhibit! He loves COWS! The ladies actually started to know his name because went back so many times! He likes all animals so he really enjoyed seeing the pigs, ponies and rabbits! This is a fun age because he recognizes what things are and is really excited to be there. I was able to let him run around and not worry about him going far!

The boys were mesmerized by the ponies for a good 20 minutes!

Saturday night we enjoyed Burgers and Hotdogs at the Scalise house! They live on an awesome piece of land in Santa Fe. To the left they have COWS and to the right they have HORSES and DONKEYS, but at their house they have dogs! On this particular visit there was a much larger number of dogs…..5 to be exact! Including a new member to the family…Dixie! My how I love puppies. I think Slugger needs a friend. Daddy thinks otherwise. What do you think Trenton thinks:

He looks pretty good with Dixie in his lap! I think he loves her.

DSC03816

Yes, it’s definitely love! Daddy can we get one pleeeeaaassseee??

We are back to grind this week. I am starting my new exercise program tomorrow! I am getting in shape for summer! Wish me luck and stay tuned for a lot of traveling this next month!

Kicken off Spring Break

Trenton and I headed to see Paw paw and Aunt Laurie on Saturday. My Mom is out of town and Gene was working so Trenton and I loaded up and went to my Dad’s. It was nice, Dad made stew and we just hung out while Trenton played! I was way too tired to drive home so we had a sleep over! It’s so much fun when I get to stay up chatting with my older sister all night! Takes me back to when we were kids! Trenton played in the playroom for hours and then made us watch Happy Feet for like the  millionth time!

This is such a cute picture! Trenton was crawling into his wagon and I caught this face! He looks like Gene! DSC03716

Trenton and I actually slept in (til 9:i5) and woke up to my Dad making us an awesome breakfast. Tell me why we move out of our parent’s houses again?!? We packed up and headed to my good friend Gretchen’s to kick off Spring Break Crawfish Style! Can you believe that Trenton LOVED crawfish. Not alive, but cooked he was in love. That’s my little jalapeƱo! Some of the adults were complaining about how spicy they were, but not my little man! I couldn’t peel them fast enough for him! We had a great time and can’t wait to see what this Spring Break holds for us, although we have baseball we will try to do some fun stuff!

No thanks! I like them cooked please!

DSC03724

Dad, do you think they can get out of there?

DSC03734

Umm…no thanks!

 DSC03736

Ok I can hold it in this basket!

DSC03738

Once we got home Trenton needed a bath. At Gretchen’s not only did he eat his 1st crawfish, he also played in  the rain, jumped in the puddles and rode around on his little tricycle! So I got Trenton’s bath ready and he decided that he HAD to “cacker” in the tub!

Doesn’t everyone eat crackers in the tub??DSC03745

Happy Spring Break!

hope the rain goes away!

Wild thing….

What a great city we live in! Who knew that there was so much to do in this area! One day I was driving to a clients office when I noticed the Bayou Wildlife Park.It is a ride through park with over 500 animals! Well who doesn’t love animals?!? I have wanted to check it out for the longest time and this weekend I got my chance.

My bestest friend in the whole wide world Leslie brought her son Cohen to play with Trenton while I hosted a Tupperware party. After the party we packed up the boys and headed to the park! What a great time we had. We saw Camels, Zebras, Long Horns, Emus, Rhinos! You name it they had it. The coolest part of all was feeding the animals straight off the trolley! I didn’t know how Trenton would act with the animals so close, but he LOVED it! He was putting his bucket up more than most of the kids!!! Maybe he will be a Vet when he grows up!! After his baseball career, of course! We also met the newest addition to the park Zoey. Zoey is the 5 day old Giraffe! She was so stinkin adorable! Les and I are not much on petting zoos so we passed on that part of the park, but we did visit the Zonkey barn! Ha, yes it is a cross breed of a Donkey & Zebra (not the cutest of animals)! Enjoy the few pictures I could get! It was tough playing photographer, zoo feeder and Mommy!

Ok Mom, got my food LET’S GO!

Doesn’t this place look like absolute fun! We even saw our friends The Brewer’s there.I guess great minds think a like! The boys did surprisingly well considering they had NO nap all day. I guess this is why they looked like this on the way home!DSC03595I miss my friend Leslie so much. We worked together at HIA so we used to see a lot of each other, but now I am as far south of Houston as you can go and she is as far north of Houston as you can go, so you can see we don’t get to spend much time together! Our boys love each other so much! We are definitely making  more efforts to get them together because good friends are hard to find! We know that!!!

He gets it from his Dad

(2 Posts 1 day!!)

This is nothing more than a hilarious picture post regarding my child’s fashion choice this morning! We had a late morning thanks to Daylight Savings Time! We woke up when we should have been leaving for church. Anyways…Trenton insisted on playing outside in his PJs! What ever, the funniest thing was he also insisted on wearing shoes! Check out these photos! He gets his keen fashion sense from Dad!

You can tell a lot about someone just by looking at their shoes!

DSC03627

This looks like a great outfit for scooping Slugger’s prizes out of the yard!
