“Fall” into fun

Fall is my favorite season. I love playing outside in the cooler weather! I love the wind and I love that Trenton shares my love for fall! We spend endless hours outside every evening. Gene decided to let Trenton ride his tractor on the Level 2 speed and ever since we cannot seem to get him off of it! I also love fall because of all of the holidays. Halloween is one of my favorite. We all love to get dressed up so it makes for  fun family holiday! We have not been doing much other than playing outside, but here are some photo’s to enjoy!

Taking a break from all his fast driving!DSC05257

Trenton enjoying a snack in his fort so that he doesn’t have to share it with Slugger!DSC05297Relaxing on the deck!DSC05298 Trenton, Slugger and Daddy watching football from the deck! This is how much we love the weather!!! DSC05268

Those of you that know me don’t get excited. Those are mashed potatoes not cookies or cake! Ha!DSC05282

AND Halloween is such a fun holiday. We decided to let Trenton choose his costume this year. He is such a big boy now and loves Spider Man! So I got him the costume and now he won’t take it off. It is hilarious. He rides his tractor, tries to go to the store in it (lot’s of bribing to make sure this doesn’t happen) and practically sleeps in it!

Shooting his spider web!DSC05272 I’ll save you!DSC05273

So precious!DSC05278   Mommy & Daddy even got into the spirit! We were invited to a Halloween Party at a good friends house and so we decided to go as pirates! Lots of spandex! DSC05285

If this were a contest Gretchen definitely would have won!DSC05286  (Gene & Jake) These two men love their wives dearly!DSC05289Girls just wanna have fun!DSC05291 DSC05293Boys, boys, boys!DSC05294

We had so much fun at the Williamson’s party. Everyone really got into the spirit of things and its so much fun to surround yourself with people who don’t take themselves to serious! Once the costumes go on sale for T’s age I plan to buy them all so he can have an awesome dress up chest!

Gone Fishing

I have been trying to find different ways for Trenton to spend his time while learning something at the same time. I saw that a few of my friends play Candy Land with their 2 year olds and our good friend happened to have given Trenton that game for his Birthday so I tried it out. Ok, my little boy only wanted to have the little people fight and build forts out of the cards. Soooo, I decided to get something a little more exciting. We bought Trenton the Gone Fishing game! I have never seen him have so much fun! The object of the game, for those of you who have never played, is to get the plastic fishing pole into the mouth of the fish while it opens and closes and spins in a circle. It is great for eye hand coordination which I am proud to admit my son has plenty of! He beat me every time!

Concentrating very hard to catch a Orange one!

DSC05216

The fish spin really fast toward the end, this is usually when he stops the game and reloads all the fish he caught! DSC05217   I got one!DSC05221 Mommy & Daddy got in on the action, but of course no one ever takes a picture of Mommy!DSC05223 On Fridays Trenton and I go to the kolache place by his school and enjoy breakfast together! It is a sweet little tradition we started a couple of weeks ago and I really enjoy it. The pictures are horrible, but enjoy anyways!

AND now performing from his kitchen table, I am proud to present Trenton Flores singing “Happy Birthday to You” completely out of tune and very loud!DSC05214

Next Top Chef

Every Sunday we make a big family breakfast. Gene and I have been doing this since we pretty much met. Now that we have Trenton is it even more fun because he loves to help. His job is to mix the eggs. He definitely has a skill for scrambling eggs! It is pretty cool to see how much he is growing up and really is becoming such a big helper.

Look Mom, I “scwamble eggies” DSC05204 He is very serious about his scrambling. DSC05205 I show you!DSC05206

Next to being the Egg Scrambling Master of the Universe he has decided to branch out and his now making muffins. Any muffin of your choice: “corner” (Corn Bread) Muffins, “Blue” (blue berry) Muffins, “Appi Cinn” (apple cinnamon) Muffins. Maybe he has a career as a Chef!   Tonight I made a delicious crock pot chicken so we had plenty of time for muffins.

Ummm…Not picking nose while stirring, are you? DSC05211

Scoop and pour!DSC05212

And something completely opposite of making food would be that Trenton and I have been battling a wicked stomach bug for the last few days! I finally caved and took T to the doctor yesterday only to find it was viral! Of course, why can’t they state the obvious over the phone and save me a co-pay?!? Well with that being said it got us out of quarantine for while. Once the dr announced we were not contagious we decided to head to Barnes N Noble to play with the train! I love free fun stuff to fill time!

Choo Choo! I am amazed how long he played with this train set and he has one at home?!?DSC05208 Look at all those books! I wish T had a library that big!DSC05209All is well around our house. We have been having a lot of issues with T’s bed time since the transition to his big bed. Day #2 of Bed Time Boot Camp was a success!

I know these are all wishful thinking, but you are my sweet boy and I am so blessed to be your Mommy!

Monkey See Monkey Do!

This weekend I got a good taste of what it would be like to have back to back kids! I also got to see the HUGE difference between little boys and girls. My brother in law and I took the kids to the Clearbrook game on Friday. It was so funny when around the 3rd quarter he asked if we could leave!! This is my life: Football field chasing a child! You mean they actually play a sport at those things!?! Well Saturday I guess the men needed a break from all their hard work parenting (ha! that’s funny) so they went golfing and I had the monkey’s. Well I quickly learned that a 1 year old needs a lot more attention than my 2 year old. 1 year olds do not watch movies, they do not listen and they do not understand climbing on things and falling will hurt! With that being said Trenton did a great job of showing her how to climb on everything keeping Raelynn busy! They played and played and of course did not nap (those are over rated anyways). It was nice to watch Trenton show her how to play choo-choo or tell her NO when she was in his way of climbing on everything ! He is going to make an awesome big brother in a few years!!

Look how pretty this little Angel is!

DSC05164

Girls: Cry when little boys run into them with dump trucks

Boys: Laugh when they do itDSC05200

Trenton showing Rae-rae how to put the trains together (notice the big boy bed behind him!)DSC05170

This is what happens when you walk away to throw a load of laundry in….I did not get the picture of the chair on top of her for fear her Dad would never let me watch her again! DSC05174 DSC05175

Ok Rae-rae you climb up here and lift this up and Mommy gets very mad!DSC05177This move had her laughing over and over!DSC05179 Don’t they look guilty?DSC05181After being together all day Trenton accomplished teaching her how to climb up there! Her Dad was not impressed!DSC05185Classic move in our house…over the couch, into the window, roll down couch….REPEATDSC05190Look at T’s face. He is none impressed that his Mommy is holding someone else. DSC05197It was pretty funny because the two of them were so jealous of one another! The boys got home and I made a break for it. Haircut, trip to Target and grocery shopping have never felt so good! I had a great time, but learned a lot. Girls cry over everything. Its hard to tell them to “shake it off” without feeling awful. BUT I would do it again. To see how well Raelynn and Trenton played together made it worth it!!!
