Can Trenton play?

So everyday as we pull into the driveway we are met by all the kids on the street. It is so much fun to have so many little kids for Trenton to play with. Honestly for a while I thought that Trenton was annoying them because he was so much younger. Well Sunday two of the boys came to the door and asked “Can Trenton play?” Awwww…my heart melted. Now usually everyone plays at the little boy next doors house, well I guess that has all changed because now they are all over here until dinner time. We have an amazing street and it is so much fun to watch the kids play together!

Instead of making a huge coloring mess in the house we moved it outside to the back yard! DSC06370 DSC06372

Yes Trenton insisted on putting on his Spider Man costume to play. Oh well, he has a BIG imagination and has fun with all his friends! Good neighbors are hard to come by and we have been really blessed with a street full of great people!

Cheap Backyard Entertainment

So we desperately need to lay grass in our backyard so right now we are extending the fence and leveling the yard with sand. Well sand to a little boy is like Heaven everyday! Trenton got a huge dump truck for his birthday and keeps himself entertained for hours in the yard! It will be nice to have green grass again, but for now the sand is his playground. I guess Daddy will need to buy little man a sand box!

Slugger likes to play too! Too bad Trenton just wants to throw sand in his face!DSC06350

I sent him outside with a shovel and rake, but of course he would rather use his hands! DSC06352

And just because he is so darn cute I took this picture of him before school the other day!

March for Babies

Today we did the March of Dimes walk for babies. What an incredible organization this is to raise money for more research to help prevent premies! We walked for The Brewer Babies Karsyn and Kaden. Everyone did a great job coordinating our team! I believe we raised $2000. It was a long (5 miles) walk to say to least around UH campus, but worth it for all those babies! Kim gave a good report on both babies today so the money raised by March of Dimes shows to save several lives. Next year Karsyn and Kaden will join us.

These are the awesome shirts we designed. They say “She’s That Mom” (Kim’s reputation at the hospital), Blue Footprint is Kaden James and Pink is Karsyn Jane, “It’s ok to be itty bitty”

Daddy's Big Moment

So last night we played our rivals Clear Lake. I was questioning even going to this game because i was tired and let's face it, it's Clear Lake and we were sure to lose. Well after a horrible call my the umpires our head coach got tossed out of the game. My AWESOME husband took over the team and did an amazing job. I have watched Gene play and coach baseball for almost 8 years now and last night was the most exciting moment in all of those years! Gene is a phenominal coach and really proved that last night. His players beat their rival and played their hearts out! I am so proud of Gene and the boys! I think I could really enjoy watching Gene as a head coach. God has a plan for Gene and our family and he is slowly revealing that plan. I love you Gene and can't say it enough WE AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!
Last night was also Little League night so after the game the little boys got to run the bases. I don't usually like for Trenton to get on the dirt because I spend endless hours cleaning red dirt off of everything Gene owns, I didn't want to do it for 2 already! Well Drew was there and Trenton adores him. So he ran the bases and had a blast! Thanks Gretchen for taking pics since of course I didn't have mine on one of the best nights ever!
Getting ready to run! This is a bad picture, but look at him go!
Drew teaching T the art of sliding!
T and some of the players! I can't believe one day he will be a big teenager that some little squirt will look up to!

And a big Thank You to Drew! Without him at the game last night (and Kristen's $1 for M&M's) I would have never been able to enjoy such an amazing game!

Baseball Boys

Trenton has really enjoyed baseball season this year. After every game we head down to the field to see Gene. As soon as we get to  the gate T takes off running yelling Daddy! It is so cute! Win or Lose I think this moment is the best feeling to Gene. As T gets older their bond grows stronger! I can’t wait for a couple of years when T gets to be the bat boy!! The players just love T. They don’t mind him playing with their bats and gloves. T is getting really good at hitting the ball when you throw it to him. He is so athletic and ALL BOY! I love it!

Spider Man Birthday

Last weekend we celebrated Trenton’s 3rd Birthday with friends, family and of course Spider Man. Every year we have had his party at a park, but this year decided to change it up and rent a moonwalk and have it at our house. When the weather man reported the most gorgeous weekend weather ever I was super excited! We had the moonwalk delivered Friday evening and first thing Saturday morning we blew it up and Trenton played on it. That was until it started raining. Yes, you read correctly beautiful weather was a BIG FAT joke! After a morning of rain and cold weather everything cleared up, we dried out the moonwalk, laid down some sand in the backyard (to prevent mud) and prepared for the party! Despite the weather Trenton had an awesome turn out! Thank you everyone for celebrating Trenton’s 3rd birthday.

Ok so I had no idea that the light switch to the back yard lights controlled the outlet. I apparently turned it off and this is what we got! A collapsed moonwalk with very scared children inside. I did not take this photo, someone without a child inside did! DSC06310 DSC06312

In Kim and my defense we were picking up pizza when this occurred. This is our husbands in action! Everyone had fun, that’s all that matters. We now have a 3 year old in the house!
