Memorial Day at the Beach

Sunday we headed down to Galveston to meet some friends for a beach day. It was a nice change to going out on the boat and nice because we live so close! T was a little hesitant at first, but quickly warmed up to the beach and would even walk out with Daddy to kick the waves. Limited pictures as this pregnant Mama was in the water most of the time! It was fun spending time with Carrie and her family. Poor little Dayton was so tired, but after several attempts Gene got him to sleep! He was very proud of himself…and should be!

These are the best chairs for the beach. We camped out in the water all day!

I would say this is a look of complete happiness! And a successful day in the sun.

Hopefully we will take more “staycations” to Galveston this summer since we are not traveling much. Stay tuned next week for a very special post! We find out Boy or Girl on Tuesday!!

Rain, rain, Go Away……

As many times as we sing that song it rarely happens. Well Saturday started off as a very rainy, nasty day. We spent all morning laying around the house in our p.j’s and then finally around 1:30 the sun peaked out and dried up all the rain! YAY! Trenton decided that yesterday would be his first day to go #2 on the potty! This is a huge deal because he is potty trained and 3! Let’s hope he keeps this up! We rewarded him by lunch and fun in Kemah! We enjoyed seafood on the patio at Landry’s. We got attacked by a few seagulls, but overall had a very delicious lunch.

So last week Daddy tried to ride the carousel with T and he wanted nothing to do with it. I guess Mommy had the magic touch! DSC06410

So I guess something got on the lens of my camera because this picture is awful, but needed to show proof that T rode the airplane like a big boy. Daddy rode for moral support! DSC06414

In addition to all of the rides Kemah now has a playground. Gene and I wanted to listen to the awesome Zydeco band that was playing so we took T over to play while we enjoyed the music! I can’t believe how big T is getting. He was running and sliding and climbing all over everything just like the big kids!

The super cool rock wall!DSC06421 DSC06422

If you’re going to slide you better make it a good one! He loves to slide on his tummy!DSC06425

And this scared me to death, but he did it all by himself….several times! DSC06426

After a quick potty break T decided to play in the water. It takes him a little bit to get in the water, but once he does it is impossible to get him out.

DSC06436

He must have ran around this fountain a hundred times. I just love this picture, he looks so grown up!DSC06439

Pure BLISS!

DSC06442

He played long enough to make a change from regular wet close to his swim suit. Which meant we were not going anywhere anytime soon!

He liked to swat at the water! DSC06447

OMG! He totally ate it while running around the water. I happen to catch the perfect shot. Poor baby! Yes, we laughed, kissed and hugged and he went right back out there. Only a few tears were shed.

Like I said,right back out there.DSC06449

This was the point where he was ready to go. 4 hours in Kemah was enough to tire this little fella out. He was asleep by 6:30!

Mother’s Day II

Gene and I decided to head down to Kemah for a Mother’s Day lunch! We thought we made a huge mistake when we sat in line to park for almost 10 minutes! Once we got in the parking garage, walked down 4 flights of stairs we were able to make our way to one of my favorite restaurants The Cadillac Bar. It was an overcast day so we sat on the covered deck. It was awesome. Trenton fed the hard heads and ducks chips while we enjoyed each other! T is getting so big and its nice to be able to go in public and not be humiliated by his behavior (all the time). I am so lucky to have found Gene and to have Trenton. I can’t wait until baby #2 gets here!

We even stopped so Daddy and Trenton could play the Sponge Bob GameDSC06399

Aww my boys! I just love these guys! DSC06400

We have our ticket and are waiting for the train to go! We promised Trenton the train if he acted good at lunch and of course he did! DSC06401

Sweet kisses!DSC06404

I hate asking people to take our picture while we are out and about so we don’t have one from the day together, but that’s ok. I know we were all there and loved every minute of my special day. My boys really take care of me and love me so much. I am very lucky to have them and if I am blessed with another little boy I would be overwhelmed with love….I am still crossing my fingers for a little girl!

Trenton you have brought so much joy to my life and I can’t imagine it without you! You are a blessing and I love watching you grow! Thank you for being my son and loving me unconditionally.baby 5

Like Father Like Son

Everyday we play outside until around dusk. We have such a great street as I have blogged about before. Lately with Gene being in playoffs he has been home much earlier. He comes home and we just hang out in the front yard watching the kids play and hanging with the neighbors. Trenton got a few new sets of golf clubs for his birthday and always wants Daddy to play golf with him. I have to say T is getting pretty good. He even has little bity tees to put in the ground!

Trying it out lefty! I mean if he can hit both ways then more power to him!DSC06382

Now I by no means think we have the next Tiger Woods on our hands, but T loves sports and is great at them. I can’t wait for summer to watch T play T-Ball!

Go Brook Go!

Well we went from being tied for 4th in district to placing 3rd! What an awesome weekend Daddy's boys had. We are very proud of all of the boys for playing hard and winning both games this weekend! We play Kempner HS (Sugar Land) for the first round of playoffs! I know the boys will put their heart into the games and hopefully move forward. Its great to see the Gene's team move forward with success. Go Brook and we can't wait to support the coaches and players this weekend!!
