Our Weekend

This weekend Gene had his first fall ball tournament. This meant I had to take all 3 kids to Trenton’s practice by myself. Gene also had a game on Thursday so he got home super late and didn’t get to see the kids. After Trenton’s practice we headed to Daddy’s field to take him dinner and have a picnic in the press box! No it isn’t easy to unload and maneuver all of the kids at the baseball field, while carrying food, but it was worth it to see how happy Gene was that we came! The boys got to ride the gator in between games while the girls stayed in the A/C!

Saturday Daddy had more games in the morning so the kids and I stayed home and got ready for the UH Game. Friday night I didn’t get much sleep with Miss Priss so I was exhausted. The kids were having a rough day so I called my Mom to see if she could rescue me and give Gene and I the night off. She gladly agreed, grabbed my niece Jaycie and headed this way. We got our first night out ALONE in several months. Although the Coogs look like a JV football team this year (I’m being kind) we still had a great time. Several of our friends had the same idea and were on date night! It was fun to get out and enjoy some football in the awesome weather that came in!

My honey & I – 10 years later and we are still totally in love!

Sunday Trenton had his first fall ball game. We are the FL Gators. Kind of a nice change from all the red we wear. He was so pumped to be a gator and did really awesome in his game. I think he is more excited that Daddy is coaching this year! Our team has a lot of spirit and the boys have a great time.

Hide and Seek

Kids 002

Look at that sweet face! How can anyone ever say he is mean, sneaky or anything other than sweet and kind. Well I am here to tell you he is VERY sneaky. Pretty regularly I walk around the house in a small panic yelling “Trace!”. If I get no response this usually means trouble. Well the other day I yelled and yelled. I checked closets, under beds, outside and the garage. He was NO WHERE to be found. Full panic set in that he somehow got out and someone kidnapped him. I did one more sweep of the house and found him!

UNDER PEYTONS BED!

WITH MY CAMERA!

QUIET AS CAN BE!

When I found him he had a big sneaky grin and said to me “boo” I swear I am going to have grey hair from this kid.

He are some of the 63 pictures he took while sitting under the bed:

I would like to THANK his big brother for teaching him how fun it is to hide out under the bed. He was quiet and not getting into anything so I did what any Mom of 3 would do….I left him there!

Peyton 7 Weeks

My sweet Peyton is 7 weeks old! Where has the time gone! My how she is changing everyday! I cannot believe next week we will be going for her 2 month check up and shots Sad smile.

Peyton you are still wearing Size 1 Diapers and have moved into some 0-3 month clothes.

The acne on your face is clearing up and you look more beautiful than ever!

Kids 005

You are starting to stretch out how often you eat. Typically you eat every 4-6 ours.

Kids 009You have started to smile, coo and stay awake (without screaming)!

Kids 006

Your favorite place to chill right now is in your room on your changing table. You love to look out the window. You don’t mind Mommy taking a bunch of pictures with silly bows either.

Kids 012

Your brothers LOVE to give your feet kisses. You are still very tiny & petite. I am eager to see how much you have grown next week!

Kids 063

You must know that you wear a bow constantly. We ran to the store yesterday for a quick in and out trip and this is the bow you wore. You don’t seem to mind and for some reason the bows keep getting bigger!

I also think purple is going to be a good color on you. This is so much prettier than pink!

Special Student of the Week

Kids 001

Trenton got special student of the day on Tuesday!! I asked him how his teacher determines who the special student is and he said it is the kid that behaves the best on the carpet! I am so proud of my little guy. When you are special student of the day all of your kinder friends (that’s what they call classmates) draw a picture of you. The teacher then puts it into a packet and he gets to keep it. The pictures were hilarious! He was super excited to share this with us and we are very proud.

Week 2 of kinder is winding down and Trenton is an old pro! He now comes home excited to talk about is day and shares a little more about what they do. He always comes home on music day singing a new song. They have not started sending homework yet, but I am going to start having him do small assignments when he gets home based on their current lessons that week. I want him to get in the habit of doing homework so 1st grade isn’t such a shock!

Go Coogs!

Well several years and 3 kids later we decided to buy season tickets to watch our beloved Coogs play football! We are super excited to start this tradition with the kids and hope to make memories that they will never forget. For weeks I tried to get a sitter for Trace and Peyton. We just thought it would be easier in the heat to take 1 kid. Well since game 1 fell on Labor Day weekend no such luck for getting a sitter. We knew going into it we had 3 kids. We decided to head to the field around 4:30 so we could be there around 5 or so. We grabbed some McDonalds by the UH Baseball field and Daddy told Trenton about all of the home runs that were hit off of him in college. So funny! We were able to park really close to the tailgating parking lot we were in and unpacked our crew and headed in. We had already had the mindset that we would probably not even make it into the game. I LOVE LOVE LOVE when our kids prove us wrong.

The boys played football and kept everyone entertained and Peyton slept. She slept in her car seat in the stroller THE ENTIRE TIME! How does the child who hates her seat and needs to be held constantly sleep through a loud football game while being bumped into constantly? Maybe God knew this Mama needed a fun night out! Although the game did not end in our favor we still had a blast and look forward to next week!

I was unable to snap a picture of all 3 of our little coogs before we left the house because Peyton was screaming! We have 6 more home games and I am sure I will get one at some point!

This boy is getting too big too fast. Everyone complimented us on his manners and how well he played/watched out for Trace! Makes a Mama (&Daddy) proud to hear we are doing a good job!

UH 006

Trace stole the show. EVERYONE adored him. All the girls wanted to take him home. He was perfectly content playing football and showing off. It’s nice to see his sweet side when we are out in public.

Sweet P sleeping through it all. She was wearing a cute dress and of course red bow to support her Coogs!

Once we were inside we decided we would just stand since it was a packed house. We didn’t want to be getting up & down with our crew.

Trenton loving every minute!

I have never seen Gene more proud to be a Dad. He had so much fun showing off the boys to everyone and sharing their 1st football game of many!

IMAG0208

Trenton got to pick out a couple of things from the souvenirs stand. He got a Shasta for Trace and himself. Sister didn’t need anything right now and hopefully he doesn’t think this is something we will do at every game!

IMAG0209

He also got these super cool UH eye blackouts.

Most of the pictures from the game are from my phone! What would we do without smart phones to take quick, easy pictures and keep the kids busy when they get cranky! We look forward to an awesome season and to sharing these experiences with the kids (we might squeeze in a date game just for Mommy & Daddy later in the season)!

How Trace spent week 1 of Kinder

Watched some Mickey Mouse in sisters seat!

abc 7

Made funny hats from PJ shorts and his t-shirt and apparently colored on his tummy with markers!

abc 4

Played outside on the play ground. He loves this swing set more than Trenton ever did!

abc 5

Played a little baseball!

abc 6

As long as he is outside and keeping busy he will usually stay out of trouble. The house is much quieter without Trenton here. They run, wrestle and are VERY LOUD when they are together.

I am Blessed

abc 8

Life with 3 is unpredictable, crazy, fun, busy and overwhelming at times. It’s sweet moments like this that remind me what a blessing it is to be the Mommy to such sweet kids. They love each other and most of the time they show it. I am going to have to work really hard in the next several weeks to get a routine down on getting us all ready and out the door, but for now we embrace the chaos.

Peyton 6 Weeks

abc 2

Lately taking pictures on my phone seem to be the only way to capture my daily moments. Sweet girl is 6 weeks old! Where has the time gone. She is getting so big and changing every day. She really enjoys her swing and has actually fallen asleep a couple of times. She likes her bouncy too as long as her brothers don’t try to dump her out. Trenton may have “accidentally” (those are his words) dumped her on the floor because he didn’t know she was in there. It was the first time she had fallen asleep in it too!

Peyton is wearing size 1 diapers, eating still on a 3-4 hour schedule, starting to take a paci to soothe herself and wearing NB and 0-3 clothes! She is becoming very content when she is awake! I think she is gaining weight like crazy and is definitely getting longer. She smiles ALL of the time, coo’s when she is happy and screams when she is mad or hungry. As of right now her eyes are still blue and her hair is crazy!

Right now it is just her and Trace home with me. Next week Trace will stay with the neighbor so I can start working from home. She stayed with my neighbor on Friday so I could go eat lunch with Trenton. I would have NEVER left the boys so early, but I guess you learn a lot after the 3rd baby!

First Week of Kinder

Well Kinder seems to be going good. Trenton is slowly sharing with us what his day is like. He seems to enjoy his teacher and likes to tell us all about his “song class” aka music. I asked him what he does in Mrs. Carpentier’s class and he said “Boring papers”. I know they are just getting into routines and will transition into stations and more independent work soon. He was doing very good with listening and behaving until Friday. His teacher sent home a note that he was having a hard time with those on Friday. That was the same day I went to have lunch with him. I wonder if it has anything to do with it?? Either way we explained to him how important listening is and he needs to respect his teacher. Hopefully it was just first week wiggles and he will do better going forward. I did my best to capture him most days last week, but I think I missed Thursday. Boo to me!

1 month 004

On the second day of school the kids decided to ride their scooters. Trenton thought he was super cool riding his scooter to school. He didn’t think it was super cool that I went with him. When we got to the school all of the kids went to the gymatorium! I stopped to chat with a friend and told Trenton to go with his friends. I started to walk down to make sure he made it and he came out of the kinder hall looking so lost. We walked together and he was good. He looked so big and mature sitting in line with all of his friends.

1 month 018

On the 3rd day of school all of the kids rode their bikes to school and the Mommies did not walk them! He thought he was even bigger of a hot shot riding his bike. He still has training wheels, but Daddy is working on that. I am letting him ride his bike or scooter when ever he wants because once I go back to work he will have to walk because he will be going to after care. Trace and I met him at the corner and Trace was so excited to see his brother. Big hugs and kisses were given!

Day 4 (No Picture) he rode his scooter again. The day went well and he FINALLY shared with us some details of his day! Trace cried when he left that morning, but had no problem adjusting to him being gone.

ABC

Friday was Red Day so all of the kinders were asked to wear red! I decided to meet Trenton for lunch. He was super excited to see me and didn’t want me to leave. I went through the food line with him so he could have an extra slice of pizza. I was not interested in eating pizza at 10:38 AM! He got in a little bit of trouble on Friday for not listening and being loud in the restroom. He came home with a yellow in his folder…I know it will not always be this way. It’s a lot adjusting to school.

First Day of Kindergarten

On August 27, 2012 my sweet Trenton started Kindergarten at Gilmore Elementary! I was a nervous wreck the night before worrying if we would forget something or if he would have a hard time. I know he has been in daycare/preschool his whole life, but Kindergarten is much different. At parent orientation we got to learn about their typical day. They have to be very independent: Put folder in their cubby, put their lunch kit in the wagon, hang their backpack in the closet, then sit down at their table and begin their first assignment. It seems like a lot for a 5 year old, but he made it through his first day. He was so excited to walk to school with his friends! We walked as a group and dropped each kid off one by one. Trenton went right into his classroom, found his name (and a friend from preschool) and got busy. It was much the same reaction I had when my Mom dropped me off! He is getting so big and mature. After pacing around the house all day waiting patiently at home for school to get out we walked to the school to meet him and his friends. He said his day was great, but couldn’t remember anything they did. I guess that is normal!

I let Trenton help pick out his school clothes and he was able to convince me to buy him 2 Spider Man shirts! They were from Aeropostle so I gave in!

My big guy on his first day of school! (This is sadly the best picture he would give me)

Yes I was obsessive about taking pictures, but he will only have 1 very first day of school!

This is us walking to school. I am so happy we live within walking distance!

First Day School 011

How big does he look carrying his big backpack. I am glad he went with this one over the super bright Spider Man backpack. He does have a batman lunch kit that he chose all on his own!

I can see his face in this picture. It says “why is my crazy Mom taking pictures of me walking to school?”

First Day School 012

The sun was in his eyes, but here he is in front of his school.

First Day School 014

We ran into William (2nd) in the hallway and he hugged his buddy on his first day. I am so happy Trenton has older friends to watch over him & show him the ropes at school.

First Day School 017

I guess his kinder nerves got the best of him because he would not eat breakfast. We stepped out into the hallway so he could eat a granola bar.

First Day School 018

He finally found his table, sat down and started working.

First Day School 019

He had a great first day! No tears were shed and he LOVED it!
