Homecoming Parade 2012

Every year we attend the Cleabrook Homecoming Parade. In the years past Gene would ride in the parade with his guys and the kids would stand on the sidelines catching candy like everyone else. This year Gene wanted the entire family to ride on the golf cart in the parade. It was a lot of fun and everyone said we should have won because we had the cutest kids! I have to agree.

We usually sit with The Brewer's and take fun pics of the kids on the curb. Well this year the Brewer Boys rode with Dad in the parade and I received a text message from Kim with Karsyn on the curb by herself. It was fun riding in the parade with our little family, but I missed our friend traditions!

Trace

There really are no words for Trace these days. I hate to say he is my “middle child”, he is “just bad”, he is “hard to handle”, I am “ready to sell him on e-bay”, I don’t “understand why he does what he does ALL THE TIME”. Bottom line is he is Trace and he does what he does when he wants to. He is independent, aggressive, smart and most of the time very caring. I love my little middle more than life it’s self, but he can do things that just make you Shake Your Head.

For example:

Climb into the kitchen sink, fill it with water and soap with all of his clothes on!

or the opposite:

Take off his pants & diaper and dance on the patio table

 

Trace’s favorite place in the whole wide world is in the backyard. I open the back doors and he will play outside with Slugger for hours! Lately we are working on potty training so he feels the need to run around naked. At this point in my life I pick my battles. We have hard wood floors & tile so an accident is not totally tragic. And if he goes outside well that’s one less thing Gene has to worry about teaching him!! We love our Trace and we wouldn’t change him for the world!

The Future Mr. & Mrs. Jones

So my best friend just moved back to the Houston area a few months ago. Her hubby works out of town so Miss P and I packed up and headed to Magnolia for a girls night! Peyton had not met her future husband Cannon yet and we felt it was time. It was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

Cannon was so sweet to share his play mat with Peyton. They really did hit it off. It was so cute to watch them coo at each other and I was really excited that Peyton played so well on the floor. We don’t get a lot of floor time at home thanks to her 2 older brothers!

I couldn’t decide which picture I liked more so you get to see both! It’s funny how our girls nights have changed. We used to get all dressed up and go out on the town. This time we were in Yoga pants and switched babies for the night.

I love having Jaime so close. We really want our kids to grow up together & although I have 2 olders she has always been in their lives. Cannon & Peyton make the cutest couple and their wedding will be BEAUTIFUL (that is after they graduate college and BOTH have careers!)

3 Amigos

Apparently having 3 kids means I have forgotten how to use my camera OR it means I am so incredibly busy that I don’t have time to pick it up and snap a quick shot. Probably because getting all 3 to sit in one place and look at the camera is an impossible mission. Finally before church the other day sat them all together! It’s so funny how much they look a like and how sweet they are!

The boys are so good with Peyton. They love her so much and honestly are so much more gentle than I ever expected! I think she is adjusting to the noise and spending A LOT of time in her car seat.

This picture is funny because by the looks of what my kids are wearing you cannot determine whether it is hot or cold outside!

Had to do a re-take because Peyton didn’t have her bow on!

I love all my babies and they are all so different! I have vowed to be better at taking pictures and blogging!

2 Months

My oh my how the time has flown by. Sweet Peyton is 8 weeks old. We had her 2 month check up (8/2/12) and the doctor said she is a little on the small side, but growing just fine. We are transitioning from all breast milk to supplementing formula. It is difficult for me to pump at work with how crazy busy we are. In speaking with my pediatrician she said it’s fine to supplement. Peyton has really chunked up and sleeps 12+ hours a night! I knew formula was a dream come true even though she will not be getting all the extra Mommy nutrients.

2 Months Stats:

• Height: 20 inches
• Weight 7.8 lbs
• Wear size NB and 0-3 clothes
• Wear size NB diapers / Size 1 overnight
• Smiles
• Coo’s and Goo’s
• Grabs your finger
• Adjusting to the bottle was no problem

I love this picture because her hair is getting long enough and thicker so I can put a bow in her hair without a head band!!

My camera settings are so messed up thanks to Trace so these pictures are not the greatest, but how pretty does this Mama look in PINK!

I love that you can put little girls in a dress with leggings. This makes clothes last EXTRA long! Peyton is really good about leaving her bows in too! I will probably cry the day she tries to rip them off!

Daddy & His Princess

It is so sweet to watch Gene with Peyton! He is so delicate with her. I think at times he feels like he might break her. Peyton is funny because she likes to be held for a little while and then falls asleep or wants in her swing so she can fall asleep! Gene usually soaks up what time he can especially on Sunday’s while we are in between church and baseball!

He got the Princess to sleep!
