Daddy’s Boy
I don’t know about you, but there is nothing sweeter than watching a Father with his children. Gene is such an amazing Dad and he is so much more comfortable with Trace than when Trenton was a baby. (I think we both are!) I captured this sweet moment of Gene talking to Trace. When Daddy is home Mom gets no love! This boy loves his Daddy!
I came across this picture of Gene with Trenton at about the same age! You can see how different they look! Trenton was so teeny and has a much darker complexion.
Sweet Baby Boy
Trace is getting so big and changing everyday! I am trying to capture those changes as much as I can, but having a 3 1/2 year old home with you makes it kind of hard to snap pictures of anyone or anything! Trace has been a little congested lately so I decided to take him to the doctor. They weighed him and he is 11 lbs 12 oz! He is growing like crazy! I can’t wait to get all of his stats next week at his 2 month appointment!
Trenton took this picture of Trace and I! Not too shabby!
This onsie is 3-6 months and he is going to grow out of it soon. WOW! And how super cute are those leggings!
I just want to kiss those fat cheeks!
This is what I get when I try to take a picture of Trenton! Little Stinker!

7 Weeks Old
Well Trace is 7 weeks old today and I can’t believe it! He is getting too big, too fast. Soon I will be sending him to daycare all day while I work! I think it will be a tough transition because I have really enjoyed being home with him! He is such a good baby. He goes back to the doctor next week for his 2 month check up so I will have updated stats then! I would say he is about 10 lbs about now! This chunky monkey can eat! Lately he is up a lot during the day and wants to eat 4 oz every 2 hours! He is also sleeping 6 hours at night!! If only I am working on getting him to bed later so he will wake up later (closer to the time I need to get up and get ready for work)
Look how BIG he is! He is wearing 0-3 and some 3-6 month clothes!
That sweet face!
He is cooing at me!
He really enjoys being on the floor now. He likes to stare up at the fan and laugh. Santa needs to hurry up and get here because he has a special toy coming which will make the fan look like chopped liver!
We have been fighting a lot of congestion this week. Breaks my heart to see my poor baby have a hard time breathing. I guess it is to be expected with the crazy Houston weather! One minute it is 85 the next its 35!
Wendy Kid’s Meal Toy **WARNING**
This is a warning to all of my Mommy friends out there. If your 3 year old has you wanting to pull out your hair, you have been puked on more times than you can imagine and your patience have gone out the window DO NOT STOP at Wendy’s for a Kid’s Meal.
Last night Gene brought home dinner and Trenton was SUPER excited about his Yogi Bear book! Well we have a rule that we eat then we play with the toy. Well once we were done Gene opened the '”book” only to find it was a paper airplane. Seems simple enough, right. WRONG! You pretty much have to be an engineer to figure this thing out! Gene took one look at it, couldn’t find Part A and said “Here Mommy will help you”. My sweet boy waited patiently for over 30 minutes while I worked on this thing! Take a look for yourself:
Instructions PAGE 1
The finished product (that pretty much collapsed as soon as I handed it off to Trenton)
So after all that waiting and excitement you would think Trenton played with it for hours! Ummm…nope he looked at it, smiled, took a picture for me and said “here Mom, I don’t want it”
Gene could not stop laughing! All that hard work and he didn’t even like it! So Wendy’s should rethink their toy and just hand out talking Yogi Bear’s and Boo Boo’s!
This toy ranks up there on my Top List of toys I do not care for, right next to Lincoln Logs!
