Tooth Fairy Visit #1

Well Trenton lost his first tooth on September 10, 2013!! He was super excited because he lost it at school. When you lose your teeth at school they give you a REALLY cool treasure box to carry it home in. Well when you are 6 and excited you take your tooth out and show your friends. Which means you drop it in the grass, cannot find it, call Mom crying at work and then write the tooth fairy a note explaining!

None the less, my baby boy is growing up WAY TO FAST!

Labor Day 2013

So my big camera is still not working. Now the button that you push to take pictures is magically missing. I am taking pictures with my phone which is becoming an epic fail! My parents planned this camping trip on the HOTTEST DAY in September! I mean it was H-O-T! The kids and I went without Gene. He had a FFL party or 2 that he had to be at. We made it one night and most of the next day before we headed home. I could not handle Peyton crying and not sleeping because she was hot.

My brother Joe brought his 2 small swimming pools for the kids. We all brought bikes, chairs, games and food! The kids played football and washers. They ran around, went on trails and there was even a small playground near our campsite! I was not about to sleep in a tent with my kids so I brought a blow up mattress and we had a cabin. Apparently my mattress was fancy because everyone was calling our cabin Hotel Flores. If I am going to camp, I am going to camp in style!

It was a lot of fun and can’t wait to do it again…when it is cooler!

Peyton’s 1st Birthday

My how time has flown. Peyton turned 1 years old on July 19, 2013! I can hardly believe that we were blessed with such a perfect little girl and it has been a year ago! For Peyton’s 1st birthday I did it a little different than the boys. We were crunched on time since just coming back from vacation and the little ones were sick. We decided to do a family only party at Mom and Dad’s house. It was perfect. The big kids played on a water slide, Dad grilled and I did some minor details to the house!
Peyton is such a sweet, kind and smart little girl. I love that she is so much more calm than the boys ever were. She is fearless, but calm & compliant. Hopefully I can still say that when she is in her teens!
Gretchen made her cute little outfit for her!! You can still see the yucky signs of impetigo on her face. Bless her sweet little heart. She didn’t feel sick or act sick, but her infection was pretty bad.

Peyton and I actually spent her birthday weekend together without Daddy & the boys. They headed to Austin to watch Uncle Luis play. While they were gone we shopped and got Peyton’s ear pierced! She only cried for a second and hasn’t messed with them since!

I did a WHO’s turning 1 theme!
My amazing sister Laurie made the cake and did a FABULOUS job as usual! I just send her my idea and she creates it. One day we will have our own business.

Present time! Trace & Trenton were certainly not going to let her have all of the fun!
Presents
My kids are really no fun when it comes to smash cakes. I don’t know if I am just overly crazy with them about being clean, but NONE of them really dig into their cakes. She is still pretty sweet and enjoying it!  smash cake
And you cannot have a post without her sidekick being silly!

Gulf Shores – Port A

July 11-14, 2013 we took a much needed family vacation to Port Aransas! We met up with our favorite families from Del Rio the Hill’s and had a great time. We checked into the most amazing Gulf Shores Cadmiums! The Hill’s have been staying here for over 13 years and we are so excited to have been invited to join in their family tradition! The beach was so peaceful! The boys loved it and Peyton was a little unsure about the sand. She enjoyed the pool, but I think the sound of the ocean caused her to be exhausted because she slept most of the vacation! Chelsea is a pretty amazing photographer so our entire vacation is professionally done!!

Day 1 and Peyton has Sam Ray & Jackie wrapped around her finger! These two are getting married in March and are going to make INCEDIBLE parents!

Searching for shells, digging holes and building sandcastles were daily events! We also went crab hunting at night! The water in Port A is so clear and there is actual white sand! We would joke with other vacationers because we live 20 minutes from the coast, but drove 4 hours for clear water!

Shells Collage

On any given day you would find the adults sitting in the chairs in the water! The kids played and played. We had such a relaxing time!

Beach Bums Collage

We would all head up to the condos for lunch and usually we would head to the pool. Peyton took naps most days while we were at the pool and we could see our room so it was nice. Next year I will not forget the video monitor!

The kids were having dance parties, watched TV and just played.

A few of my favorite priceless family moments that Chelsea captured for us!

Chelsea, Jackie, Sam Ray, Erin & Mary Hill were the most amazing hosts! We cannot thank you for the best summer vacation. We plan to do this for the years to come. Gene and Sam Ray have been best friends since they were little. They grew up together and now it’s sweet to watch our families grow together. Maybe in a couple of years they will have a little one to take to the beach.

My twinkies! These two love each other so much. Trace is a good big brother and I think Peyton is settling him down a little.

Afternoon pool fun!    Swim Collage

This little one started out the summer SCARED of the water and by the end of vacation he was doing flips and being thrown in the air!

My baby loves!

Trenton is the best big brother, best first born we could ask for. He is kind, caring and always smiling. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He is so smart and funny.

Trace is our fiery middle little. He does EVERYTHING on his own time frame. He is demanding and stubborn, but will defend his brother & sister at the drop of a hat. He has a big heart and does love to cuddle. He cracks us up, hence the bucket on the head picture. He isn’t shy at all! He is the light in our life and definitely keeps us going!

Trace Collage

Peyton is the sweet princess. She eats and sleeps! STILL even at almost a year old. She adores her brothers and is learning very quickly how to manipulate them! Her big eyes just steal your heart. She enjoyed vacation as much as a baby could. It was hilarious to watch her in her float at the pool. She just kicked around like a little fish!

Peyton 2 Collage

Trace ended up having double ear infections and Peyton got impetigo while we were on vacation. This landed us in the urgent care immediately upon our arrival home. The kids travelled well and were very well behaved on vacation. I cannot say it enough, but we had the BEST time!

July 4, 2013

July 4,2013 was pretty low key this year. We hung out with our friends from church. They cooked out and had a water slide for the kids! I had no camera (still), but I was able to capture a few pictures with my phone. We also headed over to the Staley’s house to watch fireworks. Peyton kept grabbing them trying to catch them in the air!!

Pey looking festive for school!
