Mothers Day Weekend (Picture overload)

Saturday morning my friend Kim was nice enough to have us over for an early play date! We had such a great time playing with Brady and Cooper! We were upstairs in the playroom when Cooper thought that tickling would be fun. Well I decided to join in the fun and then the boys took it! They rolled around on the floor and dog piled each other and giggled “tickle, tickle, tickle” in these sweet high pitched little voices! Brady’s was the best and Kim has got to capture that on camera. It is so great that our boys are growing up together!!

Cooper had a busy day with it being Mother’s Day weekend so he had to leave to meet up with some family for lunch. Trenton and Brady were ready to play outside so out we went. Brady decided to water the plants and Trenton which led to us stripping down the boys to their diapers and playing in the sprinkler! Mrs. Kim got Trenton over his fear by running through them with him! YAY!

Here he goes!

Mother’s Day at Houston Zoo

I began my morning with Gene getting up with Trenton while I relaxed in bed. Then he made us breakfast, we packed up and headed to the zoo!

Last year we started a tradition with my family by spending Mother’s Day at the zoo. We always have so much fun. My parents, sister’s family, younger brother’s family and my younger sister all met up to spend the day with some wild animals! We always have fun and it is nice to pack lunch, drinks and walk around seeing all of the animals. Trenton was so awesome! He knows all of the animals and their sounds. He was super excited to see the animals.  We took his wagon and saw all that we could see.

We wrapped up our Mother’s Day by taking out our new boat. Limited pictures as we were learning a lot about 2 year olds and boats! Trenton actually liked it once we got going! He is going to be tubing in no time! We are definitely boat people and I know this is a good investment. It was a nice end to an awesome day!

I want to say that I am lucky to have so many great Mom’s in my life. My Mom is incredible and it really wasn’t until I became a Mom that I realized this! My sister is super Mom and my sister in law is pretty good herself. All of these women have so many different qualities that they add to our family! I am thankful everyday that my parents are still married and are so involved in all of our kids lives! I also have to give a special thank you to my Mother in Law. She is a pretty great woman herself. Her patience astounds me! I am lucky to have her in my life…she did a pretty awesome job in raising my hubby! To all of the Mom’s out there you are blessed to be called a Mom and I learn so much from all of you! Thank you for being a part of my life….even those of you that don’t really know me!

Luau

Saturday was my niece Celeste (12) and my nephew Michael’s (14)birthday party. The theme was luau! She asked that everyone wear Hawaiian gear and come out for some good old fashioned birthday fun. She had a water slide (which Trenton was scared to death of), a small kids pool and plenty of BBQ. Trenton looked really cute in his Hawaiian shirt and had so much fun playing with all of his cousins. My sister has an amazing talent for throwing parties and making cakes! She out does herself at every party!

So handsome. My sisters kids have a pet turtle which was the main attraction for Trenton! No picture of the turtle, but that’s what he is looking at

I have this really incredible Aunt Wanda who is truly living by the miracle of God! She has had 2 kidney transplants, been on dialysis and yet she still manages to bring so much happiness to our lives! Like I mentioned before we were all asked to wear Hawaiian gear…she went a little over the top, but she wouldn’t be Aunt Wanda if she didn’t go all out. She lives everyday to the fullest! Amazing woman and I love her dearly!

I spent the day with a really sweet guy!

On Friday I decided to take one of my many vacation days to spend some time with Trenton. We got up early that morning, made breakfast and got ready for the day. As many of you may have noticed Trenton’s hair is a little out of control, well this is because every time I tried to take him to get his haircut we would wait like 20 minutes and then when it was our turn Trenton would scream like someone was trying to kill him! The hair place suggested we come during the day when no one is there so that  was our first stop of the day. We went to Cool Cuts and wouldn’t you know we were in and out in 15 minutes! Trenton’s new do is super cute! After the haircut we took Daddy lunch at school. He had a long break that day because it was game day so we chilled in the office for a while. Around nap time (insert smile here!) we headed to Kemah. I was hesitant because it was nap time, but pressed on because I figured he would be fine once we got there. AND I WAS RIGHT. We got there and the place was empty! No lines, not a million kids running around, just a few people and US! We rode the train, watched the boats come in, rode the merry go round and played in the water! What an awesome day to spend with my son! We had a blast and I can’t wait for baseball season to be over so we can do these things with Gene!

Waiting for the train to pull off! Like the new do?!?

DSC04294 Mom, is this train EVER going to move?!?DSC04296  Walking & watching boatsDSC04298 Riding merry go round! oDSC04304 Trenton had a slight freak out half way through the merry go ride and refused to walk…..so I bought him an Icee to change his mind! DSC04305
