Well I know some of you are thinking I have given up blogging for good, well that is simply not possible. We have been out of town a lot and I have not had time to post. We have actually been up to quite a bit. I love spending as much time with Trenton as I can and recently (like beginning of June) we discovered a pretty cool playground right inside our neighborhood. We loaded up the wagon and headed up there. Yes it is literally a couple of blocks away!! Minus the extreme heat and swarm of mosquitoes we had a great time. Unfortunately we have not been back since this day because we have been on the road. I will say I am pretty disappointed with myself because I have not taken as many pictures as I should!
Cool dude at the park! Ready, set, go!
“Again, Again Mommy” (I slid down a couple of times too)
BOING! BOING!
Always time for a Sonic break!
In addition to discovering the playground we also discovered the waterpark at the YMCA. We took advantage of a free pass for 10 days with the intentions of joining, but just haven’t been around enough to justify it. Trenton was a little afraid of the water at first, but soon warmed up once he discovered he could stand, walk and lay on his tummy and the water stayed out of his face! The park is cool because it has a splash pad that comes on when the lifeguards need to take a break.
Running to the rainbow tunnel of water! Mom, where’s my snack?I know I saw those big kids shooting water out of this thing?
Watch out everyone! (He loved the water guns)
On one of my Friday’s off Gene and I decided to take Trenton to the Aquarium in Galveston. Gene has never been so I am not sure who had more fun. We saw the sharks, penguins (T’s fav) and the seal which scared the be-geezes out of T! It was nice to spend time with both my boys. Gene works so much so it is hard for him to get away and do things like this! And being a big fisherman this was right up his alley!
Trenton and Daddy
No stroller + 31 lb 2 year old = 1 tired Daddy
Trenton and I decided to pack up and head to Arlington with my Mom and sister’s family. We got to spend a lot of time with my Aunt Wanda and her girls. I have so many memories of my older sister and I running around with them. We enjoyed good dinner, great family and LOTS of fun. We visited Bicentennial Park and Randol Mills Park/Waterpark. Trenton was right at home with my cousins kids. They are pretty close in age and ran around like they see each other everyday. Trenton and Raylynn reminded me of my younger brother Joseph and my cousin Joy (Raylynn’s Mom). They were inseparable as kids and that’s how T and R were all weekend.
Climbing…this child has no fear!
The kids decided to feed this squirrel cheetos!
The played with chalk….they look a little guilty? Don’t ya think?
I wonder what was said in this conversation?
That same day we headed to the water park to cool off. Trenton LOVES his cousin Michael. He let Michael take him down the slides, through the waterfalls, in the water tunnels….I was so excited to see T having so much fun in the water!
We recently made a trip to Del Rio for 2 birthday parties, a Baptism and a wedding. I literally took 2 pictures. Gene’s family was not there, it was on average 105 degrees during the day and while I was chasing my child in the scorching heat….I forgot to take my camera! So far summer has been great. We have had several play dates with our friends and hope to take a big vacation in July!
