Trenton’s 5th NinjaGo Birthday

We celebrated Trenton’s 5th Birthday this weekend. I cannot believe that my baby has turned 5 already. I feel like it was yesterday that we found out we were even pregnant and here we are almost about to have our 3rd precious little bundle! Trenton has been totally engulfed in NinjaGo the last several months. It started off with just wanting the Ninja lego figures to watching the series to now owning every NinjaGo toy they make! I had a blast creating everything for this party and he was so happy with it all! We did a smaller party this year at our house. I let Trenton decide who to invite for the most part. He really wanted to have a sleep over party, but with family being in town I decided maybe another weekend would be best for that. All day on Friday he kept asking “Is it party time?”. It was eating him up that I made the party at 3!

I typically have my sister or a friend make our party cakes, but this year I decided to order the edible cake image from Ebay and have Kroger make the cake. It was incredible!

I thought the Ninja Balloons were hilarious! (what few we had left after little brother turned the ceiling fan on and most of them popped)

These were suppose to be the skeleton army. I ran out of time to draw their faces on, but the kids understood and the Mommies thought they were delicious! They are brownies dipped in almond bark, pretzels and a marshmallow!

I know Trenton had a great time and so did we! Thank you to everyone who could make it out! I know Easter Weekend is always so busy and we had a blast seeing everyone! We also celebrated Gene’s Big 30 the next day, but not sure how many pictures I have to share!

23 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 23 Weeks

Size of baby: 11 inches long and weighs a little over a pound. She is the size of a Large Mango.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 2lbs

Maternity Clothes: I am wearing more and more maternity clothes at this point.

Gender: GIRL!

Movement: She moves a lot! 

Food Cravings: I haven’t had a lot of cravings this time around. I feel full very fast because she is so high in my tummy.

What I miss: Sometimes my energy level and patience

Sleep: I'm sleeping great!

Symptoms: I feel really good! Swelling in the evenings or if I am on my feet a lot.

Best Moment this week: Watching how Trace is so gentle with our friends babies. It gives me hope that he is not going to totally hurt this little girl!

What I am looking forward to: Easter with my family. Gene and Trenton’s birthdays.

Confession: With baseball and t-ball I have been really bad about tracking this pregnancy. I will be able to tell her we went to a lot of baseball games and you got squished by your brothers quite often after a fight they may have had!!

We love Sunday’s

Sunday is probably our favorite day of the week. It’s the one day that we know we will get to spend all day together as a family. We always start our day off by going to church. On the way to church we stop at Shipley’s and get breakfast: Donut for Trenton, Donut Holes for Trace and kolaches for Mom & Dad. After church we head home and Gene will usually grill while we all play outside. Sometimes we catch up on house/yard work, but we do it as a family.

When we get home we change and play! Trace is seriously climbing up the playground by himself and sliding down. I cannot believe how fearless this kid is!
