Cereal, No thanks

Trace is less than impressed with rice cereal. You would have thought I was feeding him poison. Oh well. This Mama gave it a try and he just hated it. I wonder how veggies will go over!

First bite….see the tears

Ahhhh!! Finally the good stuff

Trace has been pretty sick lately. He has a really bad cough and a lot of congestion. I guess its par for the course living in the Houston area. That’s why he looks awful in most of these pictures. Sick babies just break my heart.

Look who came to see us….

We enjoyed a great visit from Gene’s Mom and sister. It was really nice having them in town especially Thursday at the game. It was the first real game I attempted with both kids and without the extra hands I wouldn’t have made it. Lesson learned – pack less and be ready to chase Trenton at any moment! It’s baseball season so it’s hard for us to travel so we welcome all of the opportunities the boys get to spend time with Gene’s family. Trenton got to spend a special day with Grandma on Friday and came home with a new spider man watch and tennis shoes. I think he may have cleaned out the concession stand and Grandma’s wallet at the game too!

Grandma has the magic touch! 02 16 11 002

Just roll with it

My sweet angel can roll over!! Since the reflux is getting better he gets to spend more time on his tummy! I was so proud of him and he picked the weekend his Grandma was in town to do it!! I cannot believe how fast he is growing. He will be crawling soon and I don’t think I am ready for that!!

Sweet baby looking in the mirror. He must like what he sees!

4 Months

02 16 11 003

Trace is 4 months old this month and it has already been full of new beginnings! We went to his visit on 2/28/11 and learned  he is:

  • 15.2 lbs (45%)
  • 25 inches (70%)
  • Has reflux and now takes Zantac (has really helped his puking)
  • Grabs toys and puts them in his mouth
  • Identifies his FAVORITE toys (giraffe and crab)
  • Smiles and Giggles from his belly (kind of addicting!)
  • 3/1/11 Rolled from tummy to back – this makes him so mad because he sleeps on his tummy and is not impressed when he rolls over
  • Started solid foods – Rice Cereal / Oatmeal for 4 days then Veggies and Fruits!
  • Learned he hates the flavor of cereal so I put it in his bottle (same thing….right)
  • Sucks his thumb when awake / Sucks his paci when asleep
  • Coos, Goos and sometimes screams for joy
  • Loves to play airplane with Mommy
  • Sits up with Mommy’s help, but is almost there
  • Found his toes and loves to be barefoot (he must be my child)
  • Wears 6-9 month clothes
  • Enjoys watching cartoons with his big brother
  • Let’s Trenton torture him and never even cries when he may have a million toys laying on him
  • If you say Dada he freaks out
  • If you say Mama he doesn’t care!
  • Since his reflux is better he gets to do tummy time more often and loves to smile at the baby in the mirror
  • Is less than impressed with baseball games
  • Eats 6 oz every 3 hours
