School Pictures

Lifetouch came out a few weeks ago to the boys school and did pictures. I am always counting on the pictures looking awful, but I was pleasantly surprised when we picked the proofs up yesterday! For some reason Trenton didn’t take any by himself, but I have a ton of him. Trace’s look so amazing! The one of the two of them is pretty awesome too! Trenton looks SO grown up! Where did my baby go!?!?

Excuse the quality I had to do some computer work to steal borrow the image from the Lifetouch website!

Sweet boy smiling!!

How cute are they!!

I am so proud to be a Mommy of such good looking boys! I foresee a lot of trouble with the ladies when they get older!

My Mini Me

Me

Mommu Trace

March 2011 008

He is my child alright!!

Brothers

Trenton and Trace are quite the pair. They just love each other so much. Trace is very tolerable of his big brothers antics! Trenton decided to show Trace how to roll around. It was so cute to watch. Trace can roll on his own, he just never realized he could get places by doing it. Well big brother fixed that! Trace now rolls all over the living room. It is pretty funny to watch! I think he will be crawling very soon. SCARY!

Here are a few snap shots of my babies!

Both looking at the camera! Score! March 2011 002

Sweet Trenton hugging his brother!

March 2011 008

Playing transformers. I believe he was telling Trace he could have that one!

March 2011 009

I was trying to take a picture of Trace rolling and Trenton jumped in front of the camera! True Trenton fashion he needed the spotlight!

All Smiles

Saturday Gene’s team had a day game against Springs! Trenton headed to the church festival with the awesome neighbors and Trace went with me! I have been trying to capture this little man’s contagious smile for MONTHS now! Thanks to my good friend Gretchen we managed to do it!

I have never been worried about my babies head burning in the sun because they have so much hair. Well  Mr.Trace is going bald so I packed a baseball cap for him to wear!

A little unsure of the big black camera (normal picture expression)

March 2011 002

A little bit better….

March 2011 001

There we go!

March 2011 003

A full fledge smile! GIGGLING at silly G!

March 2011 004

I am so happy I was finally able to get his smile on camera!! He is such a happy baby these days and I feel like he always looks so miserable in pictures! Look at those fat cheeks!! At least he was smiling because I can tell you that was one rough game to sit through!

My little Shamrocks

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! I think the color green is so pretty and I love holidays when I get to dress my kids up! When you have boys you have to take full advantage of holidays to put them in silly shirts! My sweet husband is so understanding and has learned that if I can monogram it or iron it on then our boys will have it! If we had a girl we would be in BIG trouble! I made Trace a shirt last night with a cute little tie! I think its precious! Hopefully these little shamrocks will bring their Daddy good luck tonight at his game!

This is seriously the best picture I got of them this morning.

02 16 11 073

HOW CUTE IS the tie!! I love it!!

02 16 11 076

Of course he needed matching leprechaun socks!

02 16 11 077

One last attempt at a group photo! Trace staring at Trenton and Trenton cheesing it up for the camera!

02 16 11 078

We play Creek tonight so I am hoping we bring some good luck to the field!

Boys and baseball

Tuesday we had our first district game against Alvin HS. This team has an AMAZING pitcher, but that did not scare our boys. They played their hearts out and it showed! We won 6-3! I am so proud of Gene and all of his boys. They have come a long way this year! Trenton’s buddy Brady was helping his Daddy coach soccer when we got there. Trenton asked Brady to come play at the baseball game, which was such a blessing because it is hard trying to balance 2 kids at the game.

My camera was having issues, but this is how they entertained themselves towards the end of the night (after a lot of running, playing cars, climbing on the fence, eating nachos and sorting out silly bands!). Spider Man on the iPhone! These kids have it so easy don’t they!!

02 16 11 066

TERRIBLE picture, but my sweet hubby watching his pitcher warm up!

02 16 11 070

Veggies

So we are moving into solid foods and I have to tell you that Trace is not a fan. He refused to eat the rice cereal and oatmeal from a spoon so I put it in his bottle. I am now attempting vegetables and he is less than impressed. He spits it out. I guess I will keep on trying and if all else fails I will just try fruits first. I mean get used to the good stuff first, right!!

Hey Mom, whats that! He is trying to distract me so I won’t feed him anymore!

02 16 11 061

This look says it all.

02 16 11 062

Well at least he enjoys beating his toys on his tray.

02 16 11 063

He is still too small for his high chair, but the Bumbo tray works awesome! Side note: I did not leave my child unattended in the middle of our table.

Late night cuddle bugs

Daylight savings time + baseball games = late bedtimes! Lately we have been enjoying the additional sunlight in the evenings which means we go to bed late. The other night after the game we got home, got everyone bathed and all piled into Trenton’s bed. Yes, the 3 of us. We all passed out in his bed watching Astro Boy (Trenton’s new favorite movie). We are so busy these days that I am constantly trying to split my time between both boys so I decided we could all cuddle up in one bed and spend some much needed QT together! Trace and Trenton adore each other. I love how helpful Trenton can be and how he is ALWAYS making Trace laugh! They are going to be best buds and I love it!

I guess Trace told a funny joke!

02 16 11 056

Sweet boy is getting so big!

02 16 11 058

Almost down for the count. Blankets, pillows, paci’s and a Mommy to cuddle with!

02 16 11 060

I cherish these moments because I know one day they are not going to want to cuddle with me much. These moments also remind me of their sweet innocence and love for each other.

Trying to get a smile

I am never able to get pictures of the boys at Gene’s games. I also can NEVER catch a smile on Trace’s face. My sister was making him laugh at the tournament this weekend and I BARELY caught a glimpse of that contagious smile of his! Trace is really doing well at the games. He usually just sits in my lap (or whoever snags him from me) It’s great to have a support system at the field! I am sure one day I will have to try and manage both of them on my own at a game, but until then I will welcome the help!

Aunt Laurie has the magic touch, this sweet man is almost asleep!

Cereal, No thanks

Trace is less than impressed with rice cereal. You would have thought I was feeding him poison. Oh well. This Mama gave it a try and he just hated it. I wonder how veggies will go over!

First bite….see the tears

02 16 11 018

Mommy, please stop

02 16 11 019

Ahhhh!! Finally the good stuff

02 16 11 020

Trace has been pretty sick lately. He has a really bad cough and a lot of congestion. I guess its par for the course living in the Houston area. That’s why he looks awful in most of these pictures. Sick babies just break my heart.

Look who came to see us….

We enjoyed a great visit from Gene’s Mom and sister. It was really nice having them in town especially Thursday at the game. It was the first real game I attempted with both kids and without the extra hands I wouldn’t have made it. Lesson learned – pack less and be ready to chase Trenton at any moment! It’s baseball season so it’s hard for us to travel so we welcome all of the opportunities the boys get to spend time with Gene’s family. Trenton got to spend a special day with Grandma on Friday and came home with a new spider man watch and tennis shoes. I think he may have cleaned out the concession stand and Grandma’s wallet at the game too!

Trace and Aunt Rachel

02 16 11 015

Grandma has the magic touch! 02 16 11 002

Just roll with it

My sweet angel can roll over!! Since the reflux is getting better he gets to spend more time on his tummy! I was so proud of him and he picked the weekend his Grandma was in town to do it!! I cannot believe how fast he is growing. He will be crawling soon and I don’t think I am ready for that!!

Sweet baby looking in the mirror. He must like what he sees!

02 16 11 004

You want me to do what?02 16 11 006

Here I go…..

02 16 11 009

Success!

02 16 11 014

4 Months

02 16 11 003

Trace is 4 months old this month and it has already been full of new beginnings! We went to his visit on 2/28/11 and learned  he is:

  • 15.2 lbs (45%)
  • 25 inches (70%)
  • Has reflux and now takes Zantac (has really helped his puking)
  • Grabs toys and puts them in his mouth
  • Identifies his FAVORITE toys (giraffe and crab)
  • Smiles and Giggles from his belly (kind of addicting!)
  • 3/1/11 Rolled from tummy to back – this makes him so mad because he sleeps on his tummy and is not impressed when he rolls over
  • Started solid foods – Rice Cereal / Oatmeal for 4 days then Veggies and Fruits!
  • Learned he hates the flavor of cereal so I put it in his bottle (same thing….right)
  • Sucks his thumb when awake / Sucks his paci when asleep
  • Coos, Goos and sometimes screams for joy
  • Loves to play airplane with Mommy
  • Sits up with Mommy’s help, but is almost there
  • Found his toes and loves to be barefoot (he must be my child)
  • Wears 6-9 month clothes
  • Enjoys watching cartoons with his big brother
  • Let’s Trenton torture him and never even cries when he may have a million toys laying on him
  • If you say Dada he freaks out
  • If you say Mama he doesn’t care!
  • Since his reflux is better he gets to do tummy time more often and loves to smile at the baby in the mirror
  • Is less than impressed with baseball games
  • Eats 6 oz every 3 hours

Picture Day

Thursday was picture day at school. I love dressing my boys up on a regular day, but I LOVE picture day! It’s a good way to test out cute coordinating outfits without feeling obligated to buy the pictures! Trenton has started looking so grown up lately. I can’t believe he is going to be 4! The boys new school uses Lifetouch Photography so I knew there wouldn’t be any CD to share so I snapped these pictures as we were walking out of the house!

Oh so handsome with his freshly done haircut! (He is really starting to look like Gene!)

02 16 11 013

Little bit in his collared shirt and cardigan!

02 16 11 014

Sorry that Trace is ALWAYS in his car seat for pictures! It’s just the easiest spot when you are rushing out of the house. He is less than excited to take his picture daily. Poor Baby doesn’t realize this camera is usually glued to my face!

A cowboy and his rodeo clown

So I love living in Texas because we actually celebrate Go Texan Day!! Everyone gets dressed up in there finest rodeo gear at least 1 day a year!! Trenton has had a pair of boots for a while and insisted on wearing his Daddy’s hat to school! I really thought more kids would be dressed up for school, but in his class there were only a few and in Trace’s class, well I am the only one who gets my kid dressed for school so I didn’t expect much!

My little cowboy! He kept swinging his arms and yelling “YEHAW!”

02 16 11 003

My less than excited rodeo clown!  02 16 11 004

I love the tipped hat while he plays!02 16 11 010

Such a big cowboy!
