How to pass the time in Del Rio….

Ok so we decided to take the entire week of  Thanksgiving and head down to Del Rio to spend time with Gene’s family. There isn’t much to do in Del Rio other than relax, hunt and eat! AND that is exactly what we did. We ended up taking 2 cameras because our big camera is a pain in the butt to lug around. So possibly another post coming from the smaller camera that I am not a huge fan of. Anyways, I had to get creative in keeping Trenton occupied. He loved to run around on his Great Grandparents porch. We did this a lot. We collected sticks for the fire, gathered pecans and rode his tractor around all of their property. It was so great to spend the time with Gene’s family. We were however happy to be back into town and into our routine!  This year Thanksgiving was smaller than usual. Mostly Gene’s immediate family and his grandparents. We got to spend a lot of time with our niece Raelynn who lives in Corpus. I learned very quickly how bossy my son will be with baby #2!

I am pretty sad I didn’t get to go this year. So I took a picture with his deer like it was my own. Ha!DSC05361DSC05363

This was by far Trenton’s favorite night. We went to a friends house and decided to make smores. The weather was sooo cold and since we were always by a fire what better than to roast some marshmallows!

Excuse the smoke here! Trying to take a picture of my child sticking a stick with a marshmallow on it in a pit of fire! DSC05449
