Ok so we decided to take the entire week of Thanksgiving and head down to Del Rio to spend time with Gene’s family. There isn’t much to do in Del Rio other than relax, hunt and eat! AND that is exactly what we did. We ended up taking 2 cameras because our big camera is a pain in the butt to lug around. So possibly another post coming from the smaller camera that I am not a huge fan of. Anyways, I had to get creative in keeping Trenton occupied. He loved to run around on his Great Grandparents porch. We did this a lot. We collected sticks for the fire, gathered pecans and rode his tractor around all of their property. It was so great to spend the time with Gene’s family. We were however happy to be back into town and into our routine! This year Thanksgiving was smaller than usual. Mostly Gene’s immediate family and his grandparents. We got to spend a lot of time with our niece Raelynn who lives in Corpus. I learned very quickly how bossy my son will be with baby #2!
Up the steps! Standing on the railing which made me a nervous wreck, but made for a cute picture! Think, think, think….Gene got to head out to the ranch for a day and shot this deer. I am pretty sad I didn’t get to go this year. So I took a picture with his deer like it was my own. Ha!
Dad getting T’s shoes on to play washers!
Ready, set, throw! This game is played pretty regularly down there. Attempt at Christmas card picture. We liked the porch of the Great Grandparents house. My handsome little man in his Thanksgiving gear!I love you Mommy!
Picking up pecans or “cans” as T called them!
Throwing them…. I love you Daddy! We spent many days just playing in our PJs. A little cousin time destroying Grandmas pictures!
This was by far Trenton’s favorite night. We went to a friends house and decided to make smores. The weather was sooo cold and since we were always by a fire what better than to roast some marshmallows!
Excuse the smoke here! Trying to take a picture of my child sticking a stick with a marshmallow on it in a pit of fire!
“Marshmamaloos”
How priceless is this face?!?!? I guess I will have to do another post because I must show how Trenton decided to write all over his Grandparents wall in permanent marker. AND of course Thanksgiving with my family!!
