Scrimmage – Blue Claws

Trenton’s T-Ball team had their first scrimmage last night and I have to say it was hilarious! In our league the first 3 pitches come from the coach and then you get 1 opportunity off of the tee! Trenton did a great job hitting off of the coach the second time at bat! I think it’s a great combo for these kids to see a live pitch at such a young age. We have a couple more scrimmages before opening day 3/3/12!

Trenton got a little action at 3rd (and by little I mean ZIPPO!). It’s t-ball what are the chances a ball is coming for 3rd!

Look how tiny all the kids look! I love it! Feb 2012 028

Playing 3rd is a lot of work OR the mosquitoes were really bad!

In the baseball ready position.

His friend Cooper is on our team which we are pretty excited about! He looked pretty mean in all that catching gear! He takes his job very serious!

Cougar Baseball

Hallelujah baseball season has finally arrived and we had a day with NO RAIN! After church on Sunday Daddy decided to take the family to opening weekend for UH Baseball. It is so much fun to go back to UH with the boys and have them enjoy the games that Gene & I did for so many years. We took a chance with Trace because he usually naps right after church and with no nap he can be less than pleasant. Well he did surprisingly well up until about the 6th inning. He was tired, cranky and ready to leave. We headed out around the 7th, but the Coogs were up! Hopefully we will be able to get to many more games!

We grabbed a little McD’s for lunch and the boys were enjoying them in the stands!

To take a picture of this kid is impossible! My handsome little man!

Feb 2012 011

I H-E-A-R-T this picture of Gene & Trenton. Trenton is growing up so fast and I can remember when he was Trace’s age and going to his first game!

My sweet Trenton posing like always!

Feb 2012 013

Trenton has really learned a lot of the fundamentals of baseball over the last year from Daddy and playing t-ball. It was awesome to watch him watch the game and know what was going on!

This was my one last attempt to stay an extra inning. I bought a coke and M&M’s for $10, gave them some cars and they had a blast….for about 10 minutes!

After we got home Trace fell asleep for about 10 minutes and woke up not in a great mood. I took him in the kitchen to get a drink and he puked everywhere. So I guess maybe he didn’t feel so well at the game. Woops! Sorry buddy! He felt just fine after that. Mommy, not so much!

Trace – 15 Months

Feb 2012 002

I guess this post is better late than never! Trace has done quite a bit since his 12 month post! He is growing up so fast and developing his own little personality. Lately in the evenings (when we are actually home) when I am cooking dinner he SCREAMS for attention. It is hard to cook dinner and play with your 15 month old without someone getting hurt. Finally I decided to give him a spoon and a bowl and set him on the counter with me. He had a blast! I am learning how to handle his temperament and neediness. I am also learning to enjoy and embrace this age since baby #3 will be here soon and I will feel like I’m totally missing out on Trace being so little. It is one of my main goals to make sure he doesn’t get Middle Child Syndrome (unless he turns out independent and successful like his parents who are both middle children!)

This is the Uh-Oh face when his spaghetti landed on the table!

Feb 2012 006

I love my sweet, independent, strong willed little boy. He is a lot like both of his stubborn, independent and strong willed parents. We are learning how to redirect his behavior with hugs, kisses, tickles and the occasional time out!
