How to beat the Texas heat!

Although I have lived in Houston for the majority of my life, I honestly cannot remember it being as hot as it is this summer. I think the lack of rain is making it feel a million times hotter. With that being said, I have been trying to find creative ways to water the yard and keep Trenton busy. Well what is better than a giant beach ball sprinkler to get both jobs done!

One evening I decided that the weeds in our front yard were not going to pull themselves so I hooked up the beach ball and while Trenton played I worked! I was worried that T would be scared of the sprinkler, but he wasn’t!

No swimsuit needed when you are in the front yard right? Look how handsome he is! Hey Mom, are you coming?Running around makes you thirsty!

Trenton’s new thing when he sees the camera is to say CHEESE!    That evening after running around outside I made Trenton a pallet on the floor with pillows, a soft blanket and stuffed animals! I used to love when my Mom did this for me as a kid. He just laid there and enjoyed his movie!!Thursday afternoon we joined the Brewers and the Pillows at Kemah for dinner, playing and fun! Trenton rode the carousel while we waited for everyone else to get back from the train ride! He had so much fun. After dinner at an awesome Mexican restaurant we headed to play in the fountains (because it was about 1000 degrees outside) while a great band played! Trenton and Brady always have a blast together. Its nice that they stick together because it allows Kim and I to sit back and enjoy watching them RATHER than chase them around!

   Doesn’t he look super excited?!?The band took a break so they played a Michael Jackson series of songs and Trenton went to town! He loves to dance!!! Trenton held on to his ticket for the carousel all night!

Trenton loves sunglasses. He loves mine so much that he has misplaced them! This is Trenton trying on Mommy’s sunglasses and his own! Which ones look better to you?!? 

A few weeks back we took a trip to Del Rio and I am not kidding when I say I took maybe 3 pictures total. These are my 2 handsome men all dressed up for a wedding! How cute is the tie!
