Peyton Ryleigh Flores (The Delivery)

We arrived at Clearlake Regional Medical Center at 5:30 am on Thursday morning July 19, 2012. We went straight to Pre-Op where we were greeted by our very sweet nurse Stacy! We did the normal prep and then waited to go into surgery. The staff at the hospital were amazing. They explained everything and made sure I had an awesome delivery. Peyton Ryleigh arrived at 7:38 am! She is 7 lbs 9 oz and 20.5 inches long. When Dr. LeBlanc showed her to me over the curtain I immediately said “She looks just like Trace!” and she still does! As soon as I heard her powerful cry I started crying. I think Gene may have started crying when the confirmed it was a little girl! They moved Peyton over to the baby station and I got to watch them clean her up! All of the surgical staff were shouting out their weight guesses! My doctor ended up being the closest! As they were finishing up my surgery Gene headed to the nursery with Peyton. I cannot say enough about the staff at the hospital and how pleased I was that I made it through an entire c-section delivery without any complications!

Nice shot of me during surgery!

Slightly graphic picture, but my first picture of Peyton Ryleigh!

She is absolutely perfect! She has all 10 fingers and toes. Perfect little ears like her Daddy’s and a melt your heart smile like her brothers.

38 & 39 Weeks

I am not going to do the full post because nothing has really changed. I gained a few more pounds these two weeks. Peytons room is finished and we are set to deliver on Thursday!

Family Day

Saturday we decided that since we just got the new boat back from getting all the much needed maintenance work done we would enjoy some much needed family time. Peyton will be arriving on Thursday so what better way to spend our last weekend without a new baby than on the boat. Gene and I both expected it to be a short boat trip with the boys because typically they don’t last long. Well we were wrong. Trace loved the boat and Trenton blew us away with his confidence! This new boat is AMAZING! I cannot believe the space we have and it is such a smooth ride. It has a very nice bench seat in the back which was such a smooth ride for this overly pregnant Mama!

My big boys chilling on the front of the boat!

Trace was so confident on the boat. He kept climbing to the front and standing up! I used to wish Trenton would do this and now that Trace does it scares me to death!

Gene could not have been more proud of his boys. I think he sees a lot of fishing trips in his future with his boys (and Peyton too)

Our new captain. Trenton did great driving us around!

How peaceful is this picture. There were tons of sailboats out in the bay. It was the most relaxing site ever!

Gene started to head back to the dock when I said “Are we really going in”. He was shocked. We had already been out on the water for a couple of hours. He quickly turned the boat around and headed to Kemah. We decided we needed cold beverages (Icee’s for Mom and the boys) and good music.

Trenton insisted on feeding the Stingrays so we went inside to cool off and enjoy all the different fish. Trenton refused to feed the Stingrays or touch them, but he did enjoy showing little brother what they looked like.

Peyton 024

Trenton blew me away with how many of the fish he new. Gene has taught him well.

OY! 9 months pregnant with my boys!

What an incredible day it was on the water. We spent about 7 hours on the boat and I could not have asked for a better way to spend me weekend before Princess arrives! Soon we will be taking out the boat with 3 kids!

Super Hero Day

Summertime at pre-school is a blast. Every Friday they have a different themed day. We really had a great time dressing up for Super Hero Day since my kids love to dress up and we have a ton of costumes. Trenton decided out of all of his options he would be Batman and Trace would be Superman. We had to stop for super hero breakfast aka donut holes! They looked so adorable dressed as Super Heroes!

July 4, 2012

July 4th fell on a Wednesday this year. It is kind of hard to make big plans when you have to work the next day. Our good friends live in Galveston and invited us over for burgers and good conversation.  We were planning to watch fireworks from the Sea Wall, but the boys were having too much fun playing so we decided to stay at their house. I didn’t take any pictures while we were there or a family picture, but that’s ok!

That morning I made flag sugar cookies for my boys!

This was our last 4th as a family of 4! We are so anxious to meet Ms. Peyton in a couple of weeks!
