Wild thing….

What a great city we live in! Who knew that there was so much to do in this area! One day I was driving to a clients office when I noticed the Bayou Wildlife Park.It is a ride through park with over 500 animals! Well who doesn’t love animals?!? I have wanted to check it out for the longest time and this weekend I got my chance.

My bestest friend in the whole wide world Leslie brought her son Cohen to play with Trenton while I hosted a Tupperware party. After the party we packed up the boys and headed to the park! What a great time we had. We saw Camels, Zebras, Long Horns, Emus, Rhinos! You name it they had it. The coolest part of all was feeding the animals straight off the trolley! I didn’t know how Trenton would act with the animals so close, but he LOVED it! He was putting his bucket up more than most of the kids!!! Maybe he will be a Vet when he grows up!! After his baseball career, of course! We also met the newest addition to the park Zoey. Zoey is the 5 day old Giraffe! She was so stinkin adorable! Les and I are not much on petting zoos so we passed on that part of the park, but we did visit the Zonkey barn! Ha, yes it is a cross breed of a Donkey & Zebra (not the cutest of animals)! Enjoy the few pictures I could get! It was tough playing photographer, zoo feeder and Mommy!

Ok Mom, got my food LET’S GO!

Doesn’t this place look like absolute fun! We even saw our friends The Brewer’s there.I guess great minds think a like! The boys did surprisingly well considering they had NO nap all day. I guess this is why they looked like this on the way home!DSC03595I miss my friend Leslie so much. We worked together at HIA so we used to see a lot of each other, but now I am as far south of Houston as you can go and she is as far north of Houston as you can go, so you can see we don’t get to spend much time together! Our boys love each other so much! We are definitely making  more efforts to get them together because good friends are hard to find! We know that!!!

He gets it from his Dad

(2 Posts 1 day!!)

This is nothing more than a hilarious picture post regarding my child’s fashion choice this morning! We had a late morning thanks to Daylight Savings Time! We woke up when we should have been leaving for church. Anyways…Trenton insisted on playing outside in his PJs! What ever, the funniest thing was he also insisted on wearing shoes! Check out these photos! He gets his keen fashion sense from Dad!

You can tell a lot about someone just by looking at their shoes!

This looks like a great outfit for scooping Slugger’s prizes out of the yard!

Gosh I love this kid!

Swing batter, batter, SWING!

Well baseball season is in full effect. We have been lucky that our pre-season games have ALL been away! So far we have proven to have a much better team this season! We hosted the CCISD tournament this weekend and it is kind of bitter sweet to have the season starting again! We didn’t make the championship game, but we did ok!?!? I love baseball..HELLO I’m married to a baseball coach…but I don’t love chasing my almost 2 year old around the bleachers and soccer fields! We went to the Thursday and Friday game and to be honest Trenton did better than expected. It is hard to attend the games that start at 6 or 7 because that is usually bath and sleep time! He is a trooper and has a great time! There have been a lot of new bribes snacks being introduced lately! I do what I have to do to keep my sanity and support my husband! Here are a few pics from Thursdays game! We played Pearland which the assistant coach is Gene’s best friend… a few weeks back he commented “Man, this must be such an easy and fun age!” I totally stared at him and said sarcastically “It sure is”. After Thursday game of seeing Trenton RUN for 2.5 straight hours he retracted that comment and wished me GOOD LUCK this season! HA!

So here is what a typical baseball game is like for Trenton….UP the bleachers, DOWN the bleachers….ACROSS the bleachers and FALL!

This is up the bleachers…before he decided to fall climb down….DSC03566

A great example of those new SNACKS i mentioned earlier!                                                                                                                        DSC03575DSC03582

How incredibly cute is all of Trenton’s new baseball gear! His sweatshirt has the logo that only the players and coaches wear! He is an official CB Wolverine! The saddest part of baseball season is that Trenton can identify Gene on the field and through out the game he will start crying and look out the fence and say “I want Daddy”. Breaks my heart, but kind of sweet at the same time because I see Gene’s face light up when he hears it!
