This weekend we had a lot to celebrate. It was Easter and Trenton’s 3rd Birthday on Sunday. With it being Trenton’s birthday we didn’t do a lot of Traditional Easter stuff this year. Friday we headed to my parents house for a fish fry, Easter baskets and an Egg hunt (no pictures!). Saturday we decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and take the boat out. Trenton is getting more comfortable with it the more we go out. Sunday we woke up to Trenton yelling “Mom, whose is this?” He was obviously referring to his Easter basket. By the time we got in there he had it completely taken apart. For the sake of a picture I tried to put it back together! The Easter bunny brought Army men, a gumball machine, candy and Buzz Light Year p.j.s Trenton insisted on changing into them immediately.
Trenton said “I take a picture, Mommy”
After enjoying french toast and fruit for breakfast we got ready and headed to the 11:30 service at church. We decided to go later so we could leave straight from church to Trenton’s special birthday lunch.
After the best service I have ever been to, we loaded up and headed to Galveston to the Rain Forest Cafe. I have been waiting to take Trenton here because I knew he would love it!
Checking out the fish as we came in!
The birthday boy hanging out at our table right by an aquarium! (This is his 3rd birthday shirt)
Of course he got a special cup with a Blue Icee in it!
So they brought Trenton his birthday sundae and this is his face the whole time they sang Happy Birthday! Classic!
Eating the cherry! Mommy finished off the ice cream!
So he was a little afraid of the gorilla!
We got home super full and ready to relax, but what birthday would be complete without presents from Mommy and Daddy!
And this is where he has been since Sunday. He absolutely loves the fire house and rescue set we got him. All of his little friends (neighbor boys) came over and they had so much fun playing with it. I highly recommend these toys for little boys with big imaginations. (It’s like a doll house for boys!)
Our little man had such a long day. He curled up in Daddy’s bed, as he calls it, to watch Backyardigans!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRENTON!
