My 3 Lucky Charms

St. Patrick’s Day is a lot different now that we have kids. We didn’t do much except go to church and come home. I dressed the kids in their festive green and snapped a few shots. It’s so hard to get a good picture of all 3!

Peyton can sit up, but Trenton insists she needs help!

Trace begs to differ and is trying to move his arm. This is pretty typical scene in our life. Doesn’t Peyton look like she is totally over the fighting!

2 out of 3! I think Trace looks super handsome in this picture!

My Princess P! She is growing up so fast.

Spring Break 2013 – Boat Ride

Spring Break was pretty quiet for us. I worked most of the week, but took Thursday and Friday off. Friday (3/15/13) Tasha and I decided to take the kids to grab lunch and head to Challenger Park. We love this park because there are 4 playgrounds and a lot of space to roam. The kids played for almost 2 hours before Gene called and said he was picking us up on the boat. This is by far one of the best things about living on the water and having a boat. Impromptu boat rides! Tasha and I had 8 kids total with us. We all loaded on the boat and headed out for a spring break ride!

This was Peyton’s first boat ride! Besides the fact that I put her life jacket on backwards she enjoyed it!

Exhibit A of the backwards life jacket and her excitement!

Will the Krill. What a cool little dude!

Steal my heart! I love this little girl like she is my own. Tayven is so sweet, kind and brave. She had the best time on the boat.

Trace usually starts off in this condition when we get on the boat. He didn’t have a nap this day so pair that with a little fear and you get a full melt down.

DSCN0808

Daddy always makes it better. I cannot believe that this is Trace. It feels like only a short while ago that was Trenton is Gene’s lap!

Such memories these kids get to make together! We are truly blessed to have the neighbors that we have!

Trace gets over his fear pretty fast and starts moving around the boat.

I love this picture of these two. They have quite the love-hate relationship at times.

Aquarium

March 9, 2013 I boldly went where no sane mother of 3 would go alone: The Aquarium. Trenton really wanted to go and I finally agreed to take them. Gene had a game so I figured “How hard could it be to take 3 to the Moody Gardens Aquarium?” Well I am here to tell you it went better than I expected. I am pretty good about letting the kids run free (within reason). I try my best not to hover or chase after them, but the Aquarium was very busy and the boys sometimes took off in different directions. For the most part it was a great time.

Trenton is at the age where he is super curious. He wants to know the names of the fish, where they live, why the look the way they do and so on. He asks a lot of questions. It is one of my favorite phases!

I just love this picture of the boys watching the sea lions swim around

DSCN0788

This may have been one of those moments where Trace was getting ready to run off. He just has that mischievous look on his face!

DSCN0789

The shark tunnel is always fun. We hung out here a lot watching the sharks and counting their teeth! DSCN0794

Trace getting a close look at the shark

DSCN0796

I never realized how small the aquarium was. We circled it several times. The boys got to touch a star fish and sea turtle. They watched the Penguins play and eat a few times, but I feel like we were only there an hour. So we walked over to the playground to play.

On our way we ran into this guy! Trace took off running, but Trenton wanted his picture with him.

I love that I am confident enough to take all 3 kids to a place like the aquarium alone. Baseball season limits what we can do as a family so I have to make the most of everyday. My kids are great and that makes the trips all the more fun!

And we meet again!

Even though my best friend Jaime lives in the Houston area we are still about an hour & half away from each other. We try to get together as much as possible, but with baseball our life is very limited.

She and Cannon did make it out for a Friday night sleep over while Gene was in Waco (yes back in January!) Cannon and Peyton are going to make such a sweet little couple one day & hopefully baby #2 is a girl so Peyton can have an awesome best friend like I do!

Cannon is checking out Peyton while she jumps!

DSCN0754

Why yes when Mommy’s get together we put bows on boys. How pretty would a sister be for Cannon!DSCN0756

Peyton had to wear a bow to match her p.j.’s since her future hubby was here to visit.

DSCN0757

I had a great time hanging out with Jaime. We have been friends for many years and I love that we now have babies the same age! I cannot wait to meet her new bundle of joy in November!

This is our attempt at a couples shot:

I am not sure I like the slick arm move Peyton is making. I guess she is a determined woman and knows what she wants already!

DSCN0778

This is the look of fear that you see on Cannons face…big brother is on his way to separate this love fest.

DSCN0780

I believe Trace yelled MY SISTER while jumping in between them!

Move over girl and keep your hands to yourself

Cannon it won’t be the last time you have to deal with Trace. I’m just saying!
