Festival of Lights

I love Christmas time and I love the area we live in. There are so many things to do to celebrate Christmas. We were suppose to spend Christmas Eve with my sister’s family making cookies for Santa, but plans fell through last minute so we met up with the Burrow’s family at the Moody Gardens Festival of Lights. This was the neatest light display I have seen. They have music, sounds and even stories playing as you pass through the lights. There was an outdoor skating rink and SNOW! The night started off a little rough with two kids screaming in the parking lot to 1 happy 3 year old with cotton candy and a very, very unhappy 2 month old! Trace seems to have a hard time if we go somewhere between 4:30-6:00. He just freaks out. He pretty much cried the entire time, but we still had fun.

How cute is Trace in his Christmas hat!

Last stop SNOW! Gene had a blast with Trenton in the snow while Trace and I watched. We may have even been hit a couple of times with a snow ball! DSC07602

Christmas with Friends

We had a gift exchange this year with the neighbor kids! Each kid got to choose a name and buy them a gift. It was so much fun and a tradition I hope we continue for years to come! We are so incredibly blessed to have great neighbors with great kids! I don’t think we would survive without them! God really knew what he was doing when he chose this house for us.

Everyone getting ready to open their presents!

Brook and Trenton are the youngest of  he big kids. They are such good friends and Brook is like our 3rd child! We love to watch them play and bicker! They stick together when the big kids move to fast for them!!

William and Anthony! These two boys have so much energy and are so kind to Trenton and Trace. Even though they are older they really treat Trenton like a big boy!

I want to say Thank You to all of my neighbors for always being there for our family and each other. I look forward to the warm weather when we can sit out front and watch the kids play!

Christmas Train

Trenton and I had a fun date night with our good friends Mrs. Kim and Brady. We met up for dinner and then headed to the Christmas Train at a local church. Since the Brewer’s have had the twins we haven’t been able to spend much time together. The boys were super excited to see each other! They are growing up so fast! This year they were so independent and were such big boys. It was so different from the previous years! Next year should be fun with the boys and babies in tow!

They had a Santa’s workshop set up with a Christmas village display and even pictures with Santa. The boys were so thrilled to watch the train go around the village!

The Daddy’s were so kind to stay home and watch the babies! Next year we will take up an entire car on the train when we all decide to go – 2 Mommies, 2 Daddies, 2 Big Boys, 2 Little Boys and a Diva!
