Free Carwash Service

I rarely listen to anyone that tells me “You are pregnant and need to take it easy” I am just not that kind of person. When I decide something needs to be done I just do it myself. Bad trait on many occasions. Sunday after church I decided to clean out my car, which led to cleaning the seats & carpet with cleaner, which then led to me washing the outside of my car. I do not drive a small car, of course not with almost 3 kids! I drive an expedition that I am usually happy to pay someone to clean. Well Sunday the kids were enjoying the sprinkler for Day 2 of the weekend and they ran over to wash my car. They did a nice job and worked together. When they were done with mine they moved over to the neighbors car! Soon we will have free carwashes, lawns mowed, babysitters at will call. What a life we will soon lead!! (Dream over)

Everyone working together to clean my big beast of a car!

March 12 037

See they worked really hard to reach the higher places!

March 12 038

Apparently it takes a lot more water/soap when 5 kids are washing your car!

March 12 039 March 12 040

All of the kids are super helpers and love to be outside. I will take the help of these sweet little munchkins any day!

Spring is here

We are really enjoying this warm weather! After Trenton’s game on Saturday we came home to just relax. Something I feel like we never get to do anymore on the weekends. The boys were complaining about it being too hot outside to play so I suggested playing in the sprinkler. It was hot, but not too hot. We have to take in the few days of Spring that we get in the 80’s before the blazing hot summer gets here! We were pretty limited on our outside sprinklers since I just purged all of our toys! I have to make room for the new one’s Trenton will be getting next week at his party!

March 12 014

The babies weren’t interested in the sprinkler one bit, but the big boys LOVED it!

March 12 015 March 12 016

My sweet little red cheeked Trace!

March 12 019

His girlfriend Tayven!

March 12 020

This was cute to watch the boys would kink the hose and when one of them would get close to the ball they would let it go so it would shoot them in the face! 100% boys on our street.

March 12 021

Tayven and Trace, my oh my! When ever Trace sees Tayven he immediately runs over to her to kiss her.

and again….

Boys being boys

I have been able to capture a few moments of my two crazy boys lately! Trenton got new golf clubs and that is all these two want to play with. They started off playing in the living room, but Trace almost took out the TV so I made them move their game outside. It’s sweet how Trenton always tries to include Trace. They both love to swing anything they can at a ball so these golf clubs have been a treat for both of them.

March 12 004

This is around the time Trace’s allergies were horrible and his eyes were so swollen.

March 12 006

You really can use a bat to hit a golf ball.

March 12 008

My boys are all boy! We love to look for worms and bugs outside. Trenton found this June Bug in the garage and told me I had to take it’s picture.

March 12 013

I was trying to get everyone ready for church on Sunday and these two camped out in the bathroom with me. Trenton said “We look cute Mom get your camera” oh how trained they both are! March 12 032

Trenton’s hair needs to be cut really bad, but he loves it because it makes the perfect mohawk. That’s what every little boy needs for church right?

March 12 035

I guess by doing the boys hair I am getting practice in so I can do baby girls hair! If she is anything like her brothers she will have a full head of hair from the beginning!

Snack Time

I came home from work feeling very under the weather yesterday. These two boys wear me out and I think my body finally gave up. After a 2 hour nap, sudafed, prenatal vitamin, tylenol and vitamin C I felt like a new woman! I grabbed the boys from school a little early and came home to chill before heading to Daddy’s game. My sweet Trace loves to be outside. He loves to get dirty, run with no shoes on and just play! I am adjusting to the “way he does things” a lot lately. I have learned that he does not want a cup/bowl filled with snacks, he would rather have the entire bag to choose from. Thank goodness I coupon because this little one can put away some snack mix.

This is Trace yesterday evening getting ready to eat his snack in the front yard! I love the little squat that he does as he organizes his snack. Yes he is very OCD!

Spring Break 12 016

Yummy!

Spring Break 12 017

I said “Are those good buddy” and his response with a mouth food “MMMMMM”

Spring Break 12 018

Oh this face! This is what happens when I say Trace say Cheese for Mama! His sweet brother made the same face when he was that age.

Spring Break 12 019

I guess the straws do not flow fast enough for my son on a juice box. He removes the straw and drinks from the box. When he is done he shakes the remaining juice EVERYWHERE! As seen in the picture below! He is my little pig pen!

Spring Break 12 021

OMG! He looks like a little monkey!

Spring Break 12 022

I love sharing these sweet moments with him and I am so happy that God is giving me patience for this little guy. We just lead such a busy life and he has forced me to slow down and enjoy the moment. If I don’t he will make that moment miserable!

1st School Field Trip

On Wednesday March 14, 2012 Trenton had his first field trip with his pre-school (Lil Texans). He has been talking about this trip to the Zoo since February! This summer is going to be a lot of fun because he will be 5 and gets to go on all of the “Big Kid” field trips! It’s like the last HOORAH before starting kinder in the fall! I was able to share in the fun and spend the day at the Zoo with him and his class. It is so funny to watch him interact with his classmates. He seems so much older. Even though I was there I made sure he stayed with his class and always followed the directions his teacher was giving! It’s important for him to know how to act in a group with or without me. We arrived at the Zoo around 8:30 and left around 1:30. Can you say EXHAUSTED?!? Trenton chose to ride home with me and got a special toy from the gift shop. I honestly thought going to the zoo with his class would be relaxing and I would be snapping pictures left and right. Well not so much. I now appreciate taking my 2 boys to the zoo after helping watch after 13 little ones! His teacher did a great job and was very organized!

This is Trenton and his “buddy” for the day!

Spring Break 12 001

Waiting for the zoo to open!

Spring Break 12 003

Each kid was responsible for their own ticket to get in. Who has their ticket raise it high to the sky!

Spring Break 12 004

Sharing the aquarium experience with his best school buds!

Spring Break 12 005

Group picture time! I am happy his teacher made an effort for group pictures! These are memories that will last forever!

Spring Break 12 007

It was a gorgeous day FINALLY and the animals were out and ready to put on a show.

Spring Break 12 008

I felt like this guy by the end of the day!

Spring Break 12 009

Trenton is fascinated by Eagles right now.

Spring Break 12 010

Ok Moms, let the kids go down the slide! We even fit in time for fun!

Spring Break 12 011

Lunch break! These babies were exhausted, hungry and thirsty by this time. I am glad I had a backpack full of extra snacks. I know my kid all too well.

Spring Break 12 012

Trenton has been asking for weeks if we can get a pet Komodo Dragon. Good thing I said no because that thing is HUGE! They are learning about these and watching videos so they were excited to finally see one in real life.

Spring Break 12 014

I know Kinder will bring a lot of fun field trips and other fun adventures. The boys attend a phenomenal pre-school and I love how they incorporate education and fun all together. We were super worn out after this adventure and I can’t wait to take Trenton and Trace back so we can CALMY walk at our own pace and see all the animals! Soon sister will be here and I will feel like I am on my own school field trip!

19 Weeks

19 weeks 001

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 19 Weeks

Size of baby: 6 inches long and weighs 8.5 ounces. She is the size of a large heirloom tomato!

Fun Fact: She can now hear my voice so I guess I should settle down on my “loud talking” to the boys!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 0lbs

Maternity Clothes: I am wearing a belly band for most of my pants & all regular shirts. In that weird phase where maternity clothes are too big, but regular clothes are getting snug

Gender: GIRL!
Movement: Yes mostly in the evenings. She loves her Daddy’s voice!

Food Cravings: food in general, but I am very conscious about what I am eating…most of the time

What I miss: Sometimes my energy level and patience

Sleep: I'm sleeping great!

Symptoms: I feel really good!

Best Moment this week: Discussing names with Gene for our sweet little girl!

What I am looking forward to: Buying girl stuff!

I think it’s sweet how Trenton always refers to “when his sister gets here” and how he kisses my tummy all of the time! Silly boy also likes to jump in my pictures!

Man's best friend

After church on Sunday we spent a very gloomy and rainy day cooped up inside the house. Finally around 4 the rain let up and the boys were begging to go outside. Our friends invited us over for burgers and my husband being stir crazy jumped on any opportunity he could to get out of the house! Trace has a love for dogs. Ok, correction Trace has an OBSESSION with dogs! Our friends have the kindest boxer named Rosco and Trace followed him around all night. Towards the end of the evening he was getting tired and we looked over to see him laying on Rosco’s bed. It was so cute! Lanae managed to grab a few sweet pics of Trace and his new BFF!

I promise Rosco loved every minute of it, even though his face says otherwise!Trace 1

Trenton had to jump in on the action!

Trace 2

This poor animal. That’s what he gets for letting a 1 year old feed him snacks all night. This is his payback!

Trace 4

Seriously they love each other!

Trace 3 It was a nice way to kick off this wet and gloomy Spring Break we are having! Makes it much easier to go to work everyday while all of my friends (who are teachers) get to stay home with their babies!

Opening Day

March 3, 2012 was Opening Day for Little League. This is one of the biggest days for Little League. They have a parade, say the Little League Oath, take team pictures, win awards for Slugfest and play their first exhibition game. We had a very long day ahead of us. Gene had his own tournament that weekend so it was me and the boys. Our day went something like this 8AM meet at the field for pictures (in the freezing cold), 9:15AM line up for parade, 10AM parade starts, 11AM Slugfest Awards/Intro Staff, 11:45AM Run home for a nap, 1:45PM back to field to warm up for 2PM game! Needless to say we were all pretty exhausted, but it was so worth it. It turned out to be a beautiful day and Gene even made it to watch Trenton’s first game. I think Trace is starting to adjust to the baseball lifestyle we live and didn’t give me much trouble at all.

I did however forget my camera, TWICE! Thankfully my friend was there and snapped a few with her camera and my sister showed up with her camera so I was able to get a lot of memories from this special day!

Showing Daddy what he looked like before his big day!

Not the greatest pic, but Trenton and his team being announced as they walk in the parade!

TBALL2

My little #10 (That was Gene’s # at UH)

TBALL3

Apparently the day was already starting to catch up to Trace because he almost fell asleep on his blanket during the parade. TBALL4

The Blue Claws played their first game and Trenton got 2 hits off the coaches pitch! I was so proud that he didn’t have to use the tee!

Getting ready to hit…

TBALL 7

Swing!

TBALL 8

Trenton puts all of his heart and soul into hitting. He is not into fielding at all. He honestly would rather pick dirt or on this particular day they were playing music so he put on a dance party for all the fans! You have to love the innocence of T-Ball! Now, when your Dad is a hardcore baseball coach dancing on 3rd or 1st isn’t acceptable, but I say let him have fun now. We have plenty of years of serious baseball!

Playing 3rd!

TBALL 6

Getting down to the Michael Jackson song that was playing!

TBALL 5

After his second hit he was dancing it up on 1st AGAIN! My sweet angel just can’t resist the sound of a good beat!

TBALL 9

Post Game the Blue Claws enjoying snack!

TBALL 1

All of the kids have their names on the back of their hats

TBALL 2

So proud of himself!

TBALL 3

A little brother time!

 TBALL 4

Trace throwing his sippy because he throws everything. We have one who likes to hit and one who likes to throw. Good combination if you ask me!
