On Wednesday March 14, 2012 Trenton had his first field trip with his pre-school (Lil Texans). He has been talking about this trip to the Zoo since February! This summer is going to be a lot of fun because he will be 5 and gets to go on all of the “Big Kid” field trips! It’s like the last HOORAH before starting kinder in the fall! I was able to share in the fun and spend the day at the Zoo with him and his class. It is so funny to watch him interact with his classmates. He seems so much older. Even though I was there I made sure he stayed with his class and always followed the directions his teacher was giving! It’s important for him to know how to act in a group with or without me. We arrived at the Zoo around 8:30 and left around 1:30. Can you say EXHAUSTED?!? Trenton chose to ride home with me and got a special toy from the gift shop. I honestly thought going to the zoo with his class would be relaxing and I would be snapping pictures left and right. Well not so much. I now appreciate taking my 2 boys to the zoo after helping watch after 13 little ones! His teacher did a great job and was very organized!
This is Trenton and his “buddy” for the day!
Waiting for the zoo to open!
Each kid was responsible for their own ticket to get in. Who has their ticket raise it high to the sky!
Sharing the aquarium experience with his best school buds!
Group picture time! I am happy his teacher made an effort for group pictures! These are memories that will last forever!
It was a gorgeous day FINALLY and the animals were out and ready to put on a show.
I felt like this guy by the end of the day!
Trenton is fascinated by Eagles right now.
Ok Moms, let the kids go down the slide! We even fit in time for fun!
Lunch break! These babies were exhausted, hungry and thirsty by this time. I am glad I had a backpack full of extra snacks. I know my kid all too well.
Trenton has been asking for weeks if we can get a pet Komodo Dragon. Good thing I said no because that thing is HUGE! They are learning about these and watching videos so they were excited to finally see one in real life.
I know Kinder will bring a lot of fun field trips and other fun adventures. The boys attend a phenomenal pre-school and I love how they incorporate education and fun all together. We were super worn out after this adventure and I can’t wait to take Trenton and Trace back so we can CALMY walk at our own pace and see all the animals! Soon sister will be here and I will feel like I am on my own school field trip!
