1 Week Old

Sweet Princess P is a week old! My how you are such an amazing little girl. You can sleep through the loud chaos of your brothers. You don’t mind them kissing all over you while you eat and sleep. You are beautiful without being dressed up, but when you have a bow on your head you are breath taking!

Right now you are eating about every 4-5 hours during the day and every 3 hours at night. Your schedule is pretty consistent which has made it very easy on Mommy! You are doing amazing at nursing and my supply seems to be more than enough. Your daddy really wants to feed you, but Mommy isn’t ready for that just yet…

You hate to have a dirty diaper of any sort. You will scream until you are clean. You are getting sponge baths in the evenings which you are not super fond of, but in this house you get a bath every night even if you put up a fight (just ask your brothers).

You make the same silly squeaking sound when you sleep just like your brothers did. You always get the hiccups after you eat and you are a snuggler!

You resemble both of your brothers a lot. You have your Daddy’s long skinny legs, toes & fingers. Trace’s dimple on your right cheek and Trenton’s spikey hair!

Lately after you eat you will stay up for about an hour and then sleep for about 3. At night you are so good at eating and going right back to sleep.

You are a petite little thing. You wear newborn clothes and diapers.

You have your 2 week appointment on Thursday. I am curious to see how much weight you have gained and how much you have grown. We also have your newborn photo session after that! Only the best for my Princess!

Brotherly Love

Trenton and Trace cannot get enough of their little sister. They love to hold, hug and kiss her. They run when she cries, they both immediately try to sooth her with a paci and Trenton (in the sweetest voice) always says “Don’t cry sister, Mommy is coming, don’t cry” It just melts my heart how much they care about her. I feel like adding Peyton to the family has brought us all closer together. Trace seems so much older now and Trenton is really starting to play with him more. They race around the house with dump trucks and cars. They build forts  and just giggle when they are inside. I hope they get even closer as the years go on & include sister in the mix!

Trenton will grab the boppy and wait for me to bring Peyton to him. Once she cries to eat he hands her over!

Trace is never far behind when Peyton is awake.

Trace had not had a chance to hold Peyton yet, so Nana decided to help him. He was SO MAD when we took her away to eat.

Princess was a little unsure at first, but quickly calmed down

Trenton is a pro at getting Peyton to calm down. Both Trace & Peyton are pretty lucky to have a big brother like Trenton.

Home (Day 5 & 6)

Peyton is doing really well adjusting to being home. Gene went back to work for this week and then we have the rest of the summer off together! My Mom and Sister Laurie came to take care of me & the babies. I have been pretty slow to move around this time so it was very nice to have someone at the house to take care of everything! Peyton and I are sleeping in the living room for now and it is working out nicely. I also have been putting her in her pack n play in the living room to nap. I want her to adjust to the loudness of our house early. I do not believe in a quiet house for a sleeping baby! I am getting better at taking pictures and trying to capture her beautiful face everyday! Her brothers just adore her and any time she cries the run to her side. She is already bossing them around and she isn’t even a week old!

Sweet girl 5 days old

Jaycie was such a super helper with the boys. She also got some much needed snuggle time with Princess P!

Aunt Laurie decided to take Trace to go get a haircut! I warned her on how devistating it is, but she insisted. She also grabbed some snacks and lunch for us! This service may be better than the hospital.

Trace LOVES his sister. He kisses her every chance he gets.

Well we made it to Day 6 and the princess is still doing very well! She is eating well, sleeping well and is beginning to be more alert. I hope this little one stays this sweet and easy!
