Snack Time

I came home from work feeling very under the weather yesterday. These two boys wear me out and I think my body finally gave up. After a 2 hour nap, sudafed, prenatal vitamin, tylenol and vitamin C I felt like a new woman! I grabbed the boys from school a little early and came home to chill before heading to Daddy’s game. My sweet Trace loves to be outside. He loves to get dirty, run with no shoes on and just play! I am adjusting to the “way he does things” a lot lately. I have learned that he does not want a cup/bowl filled with snacks, he would rather have the entire bag to choose from. Thank goodness I coupon because this little one can put away some snack mix.

This is Trace yesterday evening getting ready to eat his snack in the front yard! I love the little squat that he does as he organizes his snack. Yes he is very OCD!

Yummy!

I said “Are those good buddy” and his response with a mouth food “MMMMMM”

Spring Break 12 018

Oh this face! This is what happens when I say Trace say Cheese for Mama! His sweet brother made the same face when he was that age.

I guess the straws do not flow fast enough for my son on a juice box. He removes the straw and drinks from the box. When he is done he shakes the remaining juice EVERYWHERE! As seen in the picture below! He is my little pig pen!

OMG! He looks like a little monkey!

I love sharing these sweet moments with him and I am so happy that God is giving me patience for this little guy. We just lead such a busy life and he has forced me to slow down and enjoy the moment. If I don’t he will make that moment miserable!

1st School Field Trip

On Wednesday March 14, 2012 Trenton had his first field trip with his pre-school (Lil Texans). He has been talking about this trip to the Zoo since February! This summer is going to be a lot of fun because he will be 5 and gets to go on all of the “Big Kid” field trips! It’s like the last HOORAH before starting kinder in the fall! I was able to share in the fun and spend the day at the Zoo with him and his class. It is so funny to watch him interact with his classmates. He seems so much older. Even though I was there I made sure he stayed with his class and always followed the directions his teacher was giving! It’s important for him to know how to act in a group with or without me. We arrived at the Zoo around 8:30 and left around 1:30. Can you say EXHAUSTED?!? Trenton chose to ride home with me and got a special toy from the gift shop. I honestly thought going to the zoo with his class would be relaxing and I would be snapping pictures left and right. Well not so much. I now appreciate taking my 2 boys to the zoo after helping watch after 13 little ones! His teacher did a great job and was very organized!

This is Trenton and his “buddy” for the day!

Spring Break 12 001

Waiting for the zoo to open!

Spring Break 12 003

Each kid was responsible for their own ticket to get in. Who has their ticket raise it high to the sky!

Spring Break 12 004

Sharing the aquarium experience with his best school buds!

Spring Break 12 005

Group picture time! I am happy his teacher made an effort for group pictures! These are memories that will last forever!

Spring Break 12 007

It was a gorgeous day FINALLY and the animals were out and ready to put on a show.

Spring Break 12 008

I felt like this guy by the end of the day!

Spring Break 12 009

Trenton is fascinated by Eagles right now.

Spring Break 12 010

Ok Moms, let the kids go down the slide! We even fit in time for fun!

Spring Break 12 011

Lunch break! These babies were exhausted, hungry and thirsty by this time. I am glad I had a backpack full of extra snacks. I know my kid all too well.

Spring Break 12 012

Trenton has been asking for weeks if we can get a pet Komodo Dragon. Good thing I said no because that thing is HUGE! They are learning about these and watching videos so they were excited to finally see one in real life.

Spring Break 12 014

I know Kinder will bring a lot of fun field trips and other fun adventures. The boys attend a phenomenal pre-school and I love how they incorporate education and fun all together. We were super worn out after this adventure and I can’t wait to take Trenton and Trace back so we can CALMY walk at our own pace and see all the animals! Soon sister will be here and I will feel like I am on my own school field trip!
