Well we are back to reality after spending 5 days in Daytona. We had so much fun! We got to spend a lot of quality time with Gene’s parents, brother and his family. We got a lot of sun and enjoyed several baseball games. I didn’t know what to think about Trenton flying. I naturally expect the worst and did until right before we took off! I thought to myself, huh, this is going to go smoother than I thought. Well boy was I wrong! Trenton did an awesome job until the plane started moving. He screamed and cried and clinched me so hard that of course I STARTED CRYING! My poor baby! Then he fell asleep. It was a little over a 2 hour flight so he slept for most of it and then once he started to get comfy on the plane we started the descend, repeat above reaction. It was awful. So even though we started off a little rough and knew we were facing yet one more flight that day we still enjoyed ourselves! Our hotel was gorgeous! Our days went like this: Wake up, order breakfast, go to beach or pool, nap, lunch, beach or pool again, shower, ball game, dinner after or at park! Occasionally Trenton wouldn’t make it through the whole game so we would head back to the hotel to get ready for bed. Traveling with a 2 year old for long periods of time in a hotel is a bad combination. I think he was ready to come home by Friday because he pretty much whined and clenched to Mama ALL weekend!
Everyone needs a Starbucks muffin before getting on the plane, right??We are psyching him up for the plane! He loved to stare at them from the window!
He has his plane game face on…little did he know what he was getting into!
I had a HUGE bag of lollypops to bribe comfort him!
Total breakdown and sleepy time!
The Cub’s park was really cool. It is the original field. They actually have to manually do the score board!
My boys watching the game. How stinkin’ cute is Raelynn! Cubby, Trenton and Daddy
Our hotel! The Plaza Resort and Spa
Morning 1 of vacay! Straight to beach. White sands, blue water….Trenton still not a fan! He preferred sun bathing rather than the “yucky dirt”He did although LOVE the pool! He has grown so much in his desire to actually play in the water. By the end of the trip he was floating by himself in a ring float around the pool! Again with the sunbathing!
View from the pool. The resort was very kid friendly which made it even better because Trenton always had someone to play with! Uncle Luis in action
Just being silly Dinner at Chili’s post game night.
Back to the pool. I know this isn’t super exciting, but this is all we did!!!Check out that Tan Line! Trenton’s mexi side is coming out!Family time in the hotel room! We had a lot of this too, usually before we left for the game.
Gene and I were dying for some good seafood so one afternoon when I took a long walk down the beach while the boys napped I stumbled across this place! It was incredible! AND I have to say that I got just about all of the Forrest Gump trivia correct…maybe I shouldn’t be proud of that…..
Trenton playing connect 4 in front of the restaurant.
Grandma, Trenton and Big Dog (Grandpa)
The Mommy and the baby! We were inseparable….not my choice!
Ok so Florida has some freaky weather. We would be outside swimming and wake up to a giant storm and tornadoes everywhere! Then after about 45 minutes it was beautiful again! The cool thing was post rain storm it was cool outside! Not humid! I didn’t know what to do.
Here is Daddy and T after an hour rain delay stuck under the bleachers at Saturday’s game. They ended up calling it so we got to spend a lot of time our last night with the fam!
