Firsts

This weekend was full of first’s! As a family we went to our first UH Cougar baseball game of the season! Judging by the way they played it might be our last! Trenton was running all over the place too. I guess letting your child take a 2 hour nap while Mom and Dad tailgated wasn’t the best idea! Trenton loves to play on the grass hills at the field! And why wouldn’t he, that’s where all of the foul balls go and make me a nervous wreck. We got to spend some much needed QT with our favorite people The Cooley’s. Their little boy Chase is so handsome! He will be running around with T in no time!

On Sunday I decided to take Trenton to his first movie! We went to the somewhat not clean extremely awesome and affordable Dollar Cinema. We saw Planet 51. What a cute movie. Trenton did great. We had a couple of “potty breaks”, but overall he watched in amazement of the movie on the huge screen. When the movie was over and we were walking out he did the “Yes” dig with his arm and said Aliens are AWESOME-COOL! I am however discovering something disturbing about children’s movies. We are working very hard to teach T that STUPID is a bad word. Well I cannot believe how many times they say it in kid movies. When the astronaut said it in Planet 51, T whispered to me “He not ‘posed to say that word Mommy” I know sweetie! I know!

I hope to be able to take Trenton to more movies! Especially if the weather stays yucky!

1 Little Monkey Swinging in a Tree….

Having 4 year old neighbors is good and bad.  Its good because they have so much fun playing together and it bad because they teach your son all the “big boy”things. Well today the sweet little boy a couple houses down taught T how to climb in a tree. Yes I realize this is a small tree, but none the less they were climbing in it. Once our neighbor headed home for dinner T ran inside to get his chair. I guess the other little boy was lifting him up to climb inside!! I love that our street is full of kids and that we can let them play out front in the beautiful weather! I am sure most parents would make there child get down, but I wanted to see if he could actually do it!

Be careful and whatever you do “DON’T LOOK DOWN”DSC06058

This is fun!

DSC06059

Ok so remember that part about not looking down. Well he did and this is the “I am not sure I want to do this” look!

DSC06060

About this time he was crying “Mommy I stuck, I stuck” I couldn’t help but laugh because he was so scared and only a couple feet off the ground!DSC06062

Loves of My Life

We didn’t and never do anything special for Valentine’s Day. We don’t need a special holiday to remind us to love each other. It was pretty cute to watch T get excited when we got home from his Valentine’s Party on Friday and opened all of his Valentine Cards from his friends. He could have cared less that most of them had candy attached. He was just excited about the paper cards with characters on them! We always get T a little something for every holiday no matter how cheesy it might be! He got this awesome heart box full of Markers, candy, bubbles, candy, candy and more candy!

JACK POT!

T is totally into being like Daddy right now. If Daddy has a hat so does T. If Daddy wears a visor so does T. It’s super cute to watch him copy his Daddy. Not only does he dress like him he also repeats EVERYTHING we say.

Talk about Making a Mom's heart just melt...

Another awesome parent from Clearbrook captured this moment for me and I have to say I teared up a little. Trenton is growing up so fast! I am so blessed to have such a handsome little man with such a great spirit! I can't hear it from people enough how happy of a kid he is!

Go Brook!

Well baseball is in full swing. We had our annual Marathon Scrimmage Saturday and it was the best way to enjoy the beautiful weather! After a long day of cleaning, T and I headed up to the field to see Daddy and his boys in action! About 5 minutes away from the school I realized I didn’t have my camera. Of course not! I figured it would be a standard game day so I will be able to capture many other moments in the coming months! So we get there, find Gene and wouldn’t you know that this would be the year Gene takes him down to the field! The whole game T was down on the field with Daddy. AND I HAVE NO CAMERA! Fortunately a million other parents did so I was able to get a few cute shots! I cannot believe how big T is this year! He enjoyed spending time on the field with Daddy and really enjoyed hitting ball after ball in the batting cages! It amazes me that he can actually hit the ball when we toss it to him. I tried to give him the tee and he said “No thanks, I no need it” We had fun and I can’t wait for T to actually play baseball!

Here are a couple of good shots from one of the awesome parents!

T and Daddy (I am going to frame this one!)  Baseaball 1

Now when T came running up the stairs with this helmet on you would have thought the paparazzi was there! All of the parents whipped out their cameras to get this shot! We have one of these helmets at home so I have seen it a million times, but never get any less cute!

Baseaball 2

It was so nice to sit in the stands and talk to the ladies! I know he will not ever get to do it again, but it was fun while it lasted. There were so many moments I wish I could have caught on camera, but oh well! This baseball season is going to be a blast!!   OH and T is really into wearing baseball caps! He wants to be just like Daddy! I love the bonds they are building and know that T will be the best baseball player because of his awesome Dad!

I do it

So having an almost 3 year old comes with it’s humorous moments. T is very into doing everything himself. I hear “I do it” about a million times a day! I love his independence, but sometimes I find T in the funniest most dangerous positions. He has a tendency to climb on counters, book shelves and tables. He is a regular little monkey. Well yesterday I stepped out of the kitchen while making dinner to come back and  find T in action!

DISCLAIMER: PLEASE NOTE THAT I WAS CLOSE BY IN CASE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED!!

1st you get the chairDSC06027

Next, you climb up the dishwasher onto the counterDSC06028

Keeping your balance you reach for the cabinet doorDSC06029

Hmm…what to choose, what to choose!DSC06031

This cup looks good (BTW that was on the top shelf)DSC06032

Slowly you lower yourself back to the counterDSC06033

Swing your legs aroundDSC06034

Turn on the waterDSC06035

And JACKPOT you have a cup of waterDSC06036

What amazes me is that he never even noticed me snapping pictures of him. I guess he really wanted that cup of water. This is funny and nerve racking at the same time. I am thinking of moving his cabinet to a lower one to avoid any future accidents. He has also mastered turning lights off/on and he can even reach the TV power button.  He has poured his own milk (and made it all in the cup), peels his own bananas and as you can see above serves himself water!!  Thankfully I sell insurance and have a rather large accident policy on him (JUST IN CASE!)

Happy Birthday Super Cooper!

Saturday we were invited to Cooper’s 3rd birthday party! I cannot believe everyone is turning 3 this year! Mrs. Shannon always throws the best parties! She sets up stations for different crafts and doesn’t mind all of the kids DESTROYING her very organized playroom!! I have to say Cooper was a busy little bee because I saw him a couple of times and was only able to snap a few shots of him! I guess he was partying it up!

Coloring rockets and astronauts!DSC05989

This craft required a little skill from the Mommies! We got to build our very own rocket ship. Notice the “professional model” in the front of the picture. Ours looked nothing like this!DSC05990

Concentrate….Concentrate!

DSC05991

We have lift off! At least they didn’t fall apart as soon as they started flying!

Look at these faces! Makes all that hard work and frustration worth it!DSC05993

How cool is this cake? Mrs. Holly made this amazing rocket ship cake special for Cooper!DSC05995

Hmmm…should I be worried. T is cleaning and everyone else is playing!DSC05997

Yummy cake!DSC06012

After the party I decided to run to Kohl’s to grab a few things. Kohl’s buggies are like stroller and 2 1/2 year olds don’t like strollers. They do however like to climb in the mesh bag part and hide! This is a good way to set off an Adam Alert in a store!

He thinks he is soooo funny!DSC06015

She will never find me in here!DSC06016

Guitar Hero

Ok so I am not even sure where we got this guitar from, but T seems to love it. Sometimes we like to just listen to music and not turn on the T.V. and when we do T grabs his guitar and goes to town. He isn’t perfect at holding it, but it’s still super cute to watch him dance around!

DSC05976

I think he is practicing breaking his guitar for crowd appeal?!?DSC05977

He is totally into it!DSC05978

We just sit there and laugh at how cute and funny he is. I some video from this weekend when T joined in the fun at the Wii Dance Party we had!! I think he did better than some of the adults!!
