This picture is less than great because we took it with Gene’s phone, but Trenton decided to dress up in the uniform that Gretchen gave him. Well we received a cute little romper for Trace and I couldn’t resist! Let’s hope that Flores baseball gene is strong enough to get them full paid scholarships! I think they look good in purple/gold.

3 Month Comparison of the T’s
Trenton had wild, crazy hair at 3 months! I mean even when I brushed it this is what it would end up like!
Trenton – 3 Months
Trace 3 Months (a few days shy of it at least)
I think Trace looks more like Trenton does now! Not so much as babies!
Growing too fast
Trace just looked so grown up in this outfit today! The cold weather allows for some much needed layers! Gene’s Mom sent the boys some winter clothes for Christmas and I fell in love with this outfit!
My sweet angel is getting so big! He looks more and more like Trenton everyday, but is a totally different kid!
I feel like it was only yesterday that Trenton was 3 months old and now we are planning his 4th birthday! I guess time flies when you are having fun!
Just another day
My sweet boys are growing so fast. My heart is hurting at the thought of sending Trace to daycare. I will miss so much. He changes everyday! I know I have to go back to work and I will survive (and so will he), but it still breaks my heart not to spend everyday with him.
I am terrible at taking pictures these days, but when I do I take quite a few!
Playing with his rattle! He loves the fact that when he moves his arm up and down it makes noise!
Getting better in the Bumbo! He LOVES this crab!
Brothers playing!
All of my boys playing.
Sweet boy! I can just kiss on those cheeks all day long!
So you may have noticed that Trace is wearing his christmas pj’s. Well that’s because it is FREEZING and they are fleece! Trenton after his bath asked if he could wear his Christmas pj’s like his little brother! SO CUTE!

If there were ever any doubts….
About these boys not belonging to Gene then this picture will fix that. They all have the same face! This is what a typical evening looks like in the Flores house. All 3 boys, play station 3 remotes and not a single one caring about the Mama! I guess Madden trumps Mom! Love them!
2 months
Trace is 2 months old! I can hardly believe it! The time has flown by and he has grown so much. I love keeping up with where he should be developmentally on www.babycenter.com! It gives me a lot of guidance and security knowing he is right where he needs to be…or a little ahead! Hee hee!
2 Month Stats:
Weight: 12 lb 12 oz Length: 23.5 in
- Coo’s and Goo’s all the time
- Recognizes his name
- Smiles all the time
- Giggles at his Daddy and Big Brother
- Grasps toys brings them to his mouth
- Tries to suck his thumb with little success, but very entertaining to watch him try
- Hold his head up (starting to use Bumbo)
- Cries a lot! Sometimes for no reason…this can be very trying on Mommy and Daddy, but we have to remember everything listed above!
- Big snuggler
- Wears 3-6 month clothes
- Loves to be in his sling when we go somewhere
- Loves his swing (saving grace when he cries a lot)
- Temper – this one is just like his Daddy! Goes from sweet to angry without warning!
- Adores his big brother even when he is dragging him around the living room by his feet!
- Starting to take a paci to help you sleep
- Eyes are still blue, but I see the brown peaking in
This outfit says it all:
See him gripping the toy! So proud of him. He has been doing this since week 8!
He doesn’t love the bumbo, but he is getting there.
Sweet brothers! Trenton loves the Bumbo and play mat more than Trace does
Trenton is the best big brother Trace could have asked for. He rarely shows jealousy, rarely gets angry at Trace, is always willing to help (especially when we need a paci to make his stop crying haha!). We always joke around with Trenton that Trace is going to be bigger than him and beat him up one day…so now Trenton says “We Trace gets bigger…I plan to beat him up” Oh geez! I couldn’t have asked for better boys!
Working like Mommy
I have the privilege of working from home from time to time. Since my maternity leave fell in the busiest part of my “work season” I have been working from home a lot. I am also being selfish and keeping Trenton home with me. I hate the idea of paying a school to care for him and pass up on much needed time with him! The other morning I came in the kitchen to find Trenton “working like Mommy”. He thought he was so darn cute with Mommy’s glasses on and I have to admit he is! Trenton has been such a super helper with Trace and I am so happy that they are getting to bond so much before having to go to daycare all day!
Silly Boy! We were both cracking up!
Not sure I love the new squinty face he makes when he smiles, but at least he smiled!!

Zoo
One of the fun things about being on maternity leave during the holidays is getting to attend play dates! The neighbors and I decided to take the kids to the zoo one day over the break. I was a little hesitant giving Trace’s history in public, but I figured I had a whole team of awesome ladies to help me out! We loaded up snacks, lunch, 9 kids, 4 adults and headed out. It was a great day for the zoo. There was an overcast and the weather was cool/breezy. All of the animals were out and alert. It was great! We even got to see the lions put on a show! I have never seen the lions do anything except lay around because it’s so hot when we go over the summer. I am so happy we decided to go. It was great to have a change of scenery for us and the kids!
How sweet that they are all holding hands!
Checking out the elephants..
The Mom’s!
Trenton refused to get in this picture, but how sweet do all of the kids look!
Scott hanging out by the monkeys!
Posing in front of the new Africa exhibit sign!
(Scott, William, Anthony, Yasmeen, Brook and T)
Playing the drums in the new Africa exhibit
Snack break
Sweet little Trace did great! He only had a couple of melt downs and slept most of the trip!

Riley Christmas
We stay in town for the Christmas holidays. It’s just easier than trying to pack up all the gifts and travel. We usually do Christmas with my family the day after Christmas, but this year we did it Christmas Evening. It was great to get all of the excitement of gift opening out of the way in one day! The boys both got too much stuff from my parents, but that’s what they are for. I actually had to put toys up this year and plan to bring them out next month. My family is huge! I have 4 brothers and sisters that are all married and we have a total of 12 kids between us! Next year there will be 13 when my brother has his new little girl! Gene was great at taking a lot of pictures while I tended to our sweet anti social baby. Trace screamed the entire time we were there. Made for a very stressful time for this Mama. He is very emotional when he gets over stimulated.
Trenton got everything from Hotwheel tracks to Legos!
My nieces Alyssa and Celeste
Nephews Andrew and Coby
A couple more nieces Maddy and Jaycie
The older nephews Michael and Tony
Gene also got the gift he had been bugging me about for a while! He got a firepit and I am so happy he did!
And here is sweet Trace. Hard to believe this sweet this bundle of joy could scream at the top of his lungs for hours, huh!
Trace ended up with 3 tummy time mats and clothes. This is the one from my parents. It has lights and sounds. He really loves this toy. It’s nice to have something to put him under so I can get some stuff done.
