Well several years and 3 kids later we decided to buy season tickets to watch our beloved Coogs play football! We are super excited to start this tradition with the kids and hope to make memories that they will never forget. For weeks I tried to get a sitter for Trace and Peyton. We just thought it would be easier in the heat to take 1 kid. Well since game 1 fell on Labor Day weekend no such luck for getting a sitter. We knew going into it we had 3 kids. We decided to head to the field around 4:30 so we could be there around 5 or so. We grabbed some McDonalds by the UH Baseball field and Daddy told Trenton about all of the home runs that were hit off of him in college. So funny! We were able to park really close to the tailgating parking lot we were in and unpacked our crew and headed in. We had already had the mindset that we would probably not even make it into the game. I LOVE LOVE LOVE when our kids prove us wrong.
The boys played football and kept everyone entertained and Peyton slept. She slept in her car seat in the stroller THE ENTIRE TIME! How does the child who hates her seat and needs to be held constantly sleep through a loud football game while being bumped into constantly? Maybe God knew this Mama needed a fun night out! Although the game did not end in our favor we still had a blast and look forward to next week!
I was unable to snap a picture of all 3 of our little coogs before we left the house because Peyton was screaming! We have 6 more home games and I am sure I will get one at some point!
This boy is getting too big too fast. Everyone complimented us on his manners and how well he played/watched out for Trace! Makes a Mama (&Daddy) proud to hear we are doing a good job!
Trace stole the show. EVERYONE adored him. All the girls wanted to take him home. He was perfectly content playing football and showing off. It’s nice to see his sweet side when we are out in public.
Sweet P sleeping through it all. She was wearing a cute dress and of course red bow to support her Coogs!
Once we were inside we decided we would just stand since it was a packed house. We didn’t want to be getting up & down with our crew.
Trenton loving every minute!
Someone got the best seat in the house on his Daddy’s shoulders!
We may have let him eat skittles, popcorn, goldfish and nachos for dinner!
Yep still sleeping!
Hanging out with the Cooley’s! We have been friends for over 10 years and are so blessed that our kids will grow up together!
Ally (15 mos) and Trace (22 mos)
I have never seen Gene more proud to be a Dad. He had so much fun showing off the boys to everyone and sharing their 1st football game of many!
Trenton got to pick out a couple of things from the souvenirs stand. He got a Shasta for Trace and himself. Sister didn’t need anything right now and hopefully he doesn’t think this is something we will do at every game!
He also got these super cool UH eye blackouts.
Most of the pictures from the game are from my phone! What would we do without smart phones to take quick, easy pictures and keep the kids busy when they get cranky! We look forward to an awesome season and to sharing these experiences with the kids (we might squeeze in a date game just for Mommy & Daddy later in the season)!
