Every year since Trenton was little we make sugar cookies for Santa. It’s fun to have this tradition with the kids. I can’t wait to add my new little baker to the mix next year!! We usually pick a night that Daddy will be late because it is easier to do “girly” stuff with the boys when Dad isn’t home. However, this is the first year Gene got home and joined in! Then the boys left me all alone to go wrestle with Dad. Hopefully Peyton will hold strong next year! Trenton was an old pro at rolling out his own dough and cutting his cookies. Trace is a work in progress. I have learned over the last few years that it’s ok to let them throw flour all over the kitchen! I can clean up a mess just so they can have fun.
The boys are doing a great job cutting out their cookies!
Trace would hoard the cookie cutters. Look closely he is cutting with one and has another one on his wrist!
Trace just wanted to roll his dough the whole time.
Mr. Perfection
Trenton seriously used every inch of dough he had! He did not want to waste any of it.
Pre baking
We took a dinner break for pizza while the cookies cooked. Once the timer went off the boys were ready to go with the frosting.
Trenton did an awesome job decorating…at first
Trace loves to use icing you can squeeze. I opted for the smaller tubes this year!
Daddy joining in the festivities
Trace got a little carried away with the sprinkles
And so did Trenton…
This is Daddy’s cookie. He claims to have written “Trenton & Trace” on this snowman.
Mommies cookies!
We had so much fun! I love the holidays and making messes with the boys!
